Serebryano Grape Pond Izmailovo. News from the pond: Silver-Grape Pond

In the floodplain of the Serebryanka River there is one of the oldest Moscow reservoirs - Serebryano-Vinogradny Pond. In the 17th century, here was the estate of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, the father of the famous Peter I. It was Alexei Mikhailovich who ordered the connection of the river and two small ponds using dams. Then Izmailovsky Island found itself surrounded on all sides by the waters of the Serebryano-Vinogradny Pond. The reservoir was given this name because the sovereign laid out a whole garden near the Serebryanka River, where rare plants in these parts grew, reflected in the calm waters, and the most beautiful among them were grape vines. Little Tsarevich Peter made his first voyage here on a boat, which later began to be jokingly called the grandfather of the Russian fleet.

Before the 1917 revolution, there was a famous almshouse on the banks of the Serebryano-Vinogradny Pond, where veterans of various wars lived out their lives. Centuries passed, and the dams were removed as unnecessary, and bridges appeared in their place. In the middle of the 20th century, buildings on the island were restored and new sports grounds and a stadium were built. The bottom of the reservoir was cleaned, the banks were strengthened, and a beach area was equipped, which has two boat stations. Now the estate near the pond is a monument to landscape gardening art.

The Serebryano-Vinogradny pond is quite deep - more than two meters, its area is 17.5 hectares, the bottom is sandy. The reservoir is filled with surface and groundwater. All banks are seriously reinforced with reinforced concrete slabs and there is a bridge called the First Baumansky. Vacationers here sunbathe on the sandy beach, children go down slides, swing on swings, young and mature athletes kick a ball on two football fields, some spend time on the basketball and volleyball courts.

Roller skates are available at the rental point on the shore. And under the giant oaks and old linden trees, almost near the water, there are benches for relaxation. A cozy summer cafe awaits hungry guests. There is a boat station on the reservoir itself - anyone can rent a catamaran or boat. The entire beach area is fenced with a beautiful lattice, and for those who come here by car, there are two parking lots.

Relaxing near the Serebryano-Vinogradny Pond is not only pleasant, you can also see historical places. If you take a boat, you can clearly see from the middle of the pond - the fake city of young Peter. And from Izmailovsky Island there is a wonderful view of the ancient Sovereign Gate, the five-domed Intercession Monastery and the Bridge Tower. The city authorities are constantly working to improve recreational conditions on Serebryano-Vinogradny Pond in such a way as not to disturb the unique landscape and ancient architectural complex.

Very interesting place, if you live not far away. The pond is located within the city of Moscow in Izmailovo. The nearest metro station is Partizanskoye. One of the oldest ponds. It was created under Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich. Well, that’s all I know about the history of the creation of the pond. There is an estate nearby, in short, there are a lot of people walking around. Plus the boat station is nearby. There are a lot of people on vacation and a lot of noise. But, if it is not possible to go somewhere far, then that’s it.

The pond is home to crucian carp, carp and rotan. I haven’t caught carp, but there are a lot of crucian carp and they are large, although they are very capricious, so that it is not easy to catch. Well, rotan, it is rotan, of course, with the caveat that large ones are also not easy to catch. I know that there are also carp, because they caught them with me. Maybe there isn't so much of it there. You just need to catch carp in a targeted manner.

As I already said, The crucian carp in this pond is very capricious, bites are very rare and you may not even wait for a bite. But nevertheless, the pond is suitable for fishing as training.

If you catch a fish there, you can catch it in any other body of water. This is the only reason you can visit this reservoir.

Locals catch crucian carp for bread. Moreover, they do not use or use very little bait. In principle, it is logical to catch it with bread, since there are ducks in the pond, and they are fed bread from time to time. In short, bread is a common food for crucian carp in this reservoir. They also catch it on a bread crust, while greasing the bait lightly with garlic.

But I think it's possible experiment with bait and bait. Try all possible combinations. One thing I can say is that, despite the fact that local fishermen believe that crucian carp in a pond does not rise to bait, I did rise to bait. You can try, I think, all possible combinations of bait. I think you can catch it with a worm, just supply it with diploma, for example, with the smell of garlic or another. You'll have to experiment for yourself.

It is better to fish in this place away from the shore. Either a match rod or a feeder. For long casting. For a feeder or donkey with a feeder, bread with garlic is best suited as a filler; I haven’t caught anything with another filler yet. Crucian carp loves bread in this body of water. When I say catch on bread, I mean a loaf. The bait can also be used with a worm. The crucian carp did not bite on any expensive fillers for the feeder. It is better to use the lightest feeders, since the bottom of the reservoir is muddy.

Separately for fishing gear in Serebryano-Grape Pond. It is best to use the most sensitive gear. Without a thin leash there is nothing to do at all. Small hooks are also better. For good fishing, it is better to use high-quality tackle and equipment whenever possible. All gear should be as sensitive as possible and have the most careful settings.

No one catches with maggots and bloodworms. Although in my presence the carp was caught on a bunch of maggots, and the man constantly dragged the crucian carp onto bloodworms. But these are all exceptions to the rule, since they were caught using bloodworms in early spring, and the carp may have been caught completely by accident.

In conclusion, it is difficult to fish in this body of water. But the beauty is that if you learn to fish there, namely in Moscow. You will definitely catch it on any other body of water!

There is a wonderful place for walking and having a good time with a sandy beach, a boat station, a sports ground and even a place to play golf and stunningly beautiful park areas with benches. This place is Serebryano-Vinogradnye ponds, located on the territory of Izmailovsky Park.

Story

The history of the emergence of these places is remarkable in that well-known historical figures are involved in it.

The historical park area - Serebryano-Vinogradnye ponds - is one of the oldest city attractions in Moscow. In the 17th century, this place was the country estate of the Russian Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich.

The great Peter I also spent his childhood here. Here he first became acquainted with the basics of navigation, riding on an old English boat found in an ordinary barn. This place was named by him “The Cradle of the Russian Fleet”.

In the second half of the 20th century, existing buildings were restored on the island and new sports grounds and a stadium were built. They strengthened the banks and cleaned the bottom of the reservoir, built two boat stations, organized park recreation areas and a beach for the city. Today this place is an estate-monument.

Serebryano-Vinogradnye Prudy: location

In the east of Moscow, not far from the Izmailovsky Park metro station, this protected place is located.

The Silver Pond is located near the Serebryanka River (near Pervomaiskaya Street). This is one of the oldest city ponds located on the island.

History of formation and origin of the name

The history of the name can be determined by events that occurred from distant past times. Back in the 17th century, the pond in question was named Serebryany, or Serebryansky, due to the fact that it is located in the floodplain of the river. Serebryanki. And part of the pond is also known as the Grape Pond. This happened due to the fact that there were Izmailov’s gardens, which were created long ago at the direction of the ruler - the royal estate. Silver-Grape Ponds are mainly famous for the fact that a variety of southern exotic vegetables and fruits, including grapes, were grown in these gardens.

During the construction of the royal estate, the local river was blocked by a grape dam, and a Grape Pond was created in the riverbed above this dam. At that time, its waters reflected beautiful grape vines. This spectacle was of extraordinary beauty! Soon these two ponds united and formed an island.

Characteristics of the territory, description, services

Silver Pond has an area of 17.5 hectares, an average depth of 2.5 meters, a flat and sandy bottom. This reservoir is fed by ground and surface water and tap water. The banks of the pond are well reinforced with reinforced concrete slabs. The 1st Baumansky Bridge is also located here.

There are sandy beaches, a playground for children with a variety of small architectural structures, and two football fields. There is a playground on the shore of Serebryano-Vinogradny Pond for playing volleyball and basketball.

There is also a rental service for sports equipment (roller skates). In the park area, under perennial trees (oaks and lindens) along the banks of the pond, there are comfortable benches for relaxation. There is also a summer cafe and a boat station where you can rent boats and catamarans.

There are decorative fences throughout, separating the seating areas. There are also parking lots where you can park your car.

On this territory, measures are constantly being taken to improve the recreation area with the obligatory preservation of the connection between landscape design and the architectural historical structures of the Izmailovskaya estate.

Recreation area: platforms and gazebos

Today the pond is a unique, quiet corner of paradise for nature lovers.

A popular open area is the Green Bank, convenient for large grand celebrations, accommodating more than 5 thousand people.

There is also a site on the Silver-Grape Pond on the shoreline, which anyone can rent for fireworks and where you can rent a boat to ride on the beautiful water surface of a quiet, wonderful pond, admiring the magnificent views of nature.

For organizing banquets and wedding receptions in the open air there is a comfortable summer stand that can accommodate about 800 people. The pier located nearby is convenient for organizing events on the water.

Easily installed tents and awnings over the water allow celebrations to be held in any weather conditions.

There are numerous cozy gazebos on the banks of the Serebryano-Vinogradny Pond. These beautiful places are also convenient for photo sessions. In winter, the pond is used for Epiphany bathing.

Town named after Bauman

Serebryano-Vinogradny Pond is also famous for the fact that there was once a workers’ town on the island.

Back in the 1920s, during the Soviet era, good living conditions were created for the working class of the largest industrial enterprises. They moved from poor barracks and dugouts to new quarters specially built for them near their place of work.

A town for workers was also organized on the island of the pond in 1924. 3,000 people lived in it - these were workers of the Moscow electric lamp plant with their families. They lived precisely in these royal chambers, in this 17th-century estate.

Of course, after the war in 1945, new houses were built in Izmailovo for MELZ employees, but these communal apartments in the town named after. Bauman (Russian revolutionary) were completely resettled only in the 1970s.

Today on the island there is the Izmailovo estate, the Academy of Restoration, a branch of the State Historical Museum. Unfortunately, the wooden buildings and the royal palace of those times have not survived.

The site on the shore of Serebryano-Vinogradny Pond and all the adjacent natural areas are a wonderful place of recreation and entertainment for lovers of both passive and active recreation. A pleasant pastime here can be combined with cultural education by visiting the Historical Museum and the territory of ancient buildings.

In Moscow, very close to the Izmailovsky Kremlin, there is a Serebryano-Vinogradny pond with a rather large island.
Actually, the purpose of the trip was to photograph the Kremlin at sunset from the island, so we headed to the island.

By the way, this pond has its own history.

Izmailovo is the famous country residence of the Russian tsars, in which there are unique architectural monuments associated with the glorious pages of Russian history, with the time preceding Peter the Great's transformations.

The earliest mentions of the village of Izmailovo near Moscow date back to the second half of the 16th century, when it was granted by Tsar Ivan the Terrible to his relative, governor and diplomat Nikita Romanovich Zakharyin-Yuryev.

In 1654, Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich Romanov became the owner of the boyar estate of Izmailovo with its vast lands. From that time on, Izmailovo, which attracted the Tsar with its hunting grounds, became part of the palace economy. Since the early 60s of the 17th century. Izmailovo was transformed into one of the economically important royal household estates of a new type.

After the death of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, Izmailovo acquired the features of an ordinary country residence. In May 1688, at the Izmailovo Linen Yard, sixteen-year-old Peter found an old English boat and ordered that Izmailovo be called the “Cradle of the Russian Fleet.”

From the time of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, four buildings have been preserved: the Bridge Tower (1671–1679), the Intercession Cathedral (1671–1679), the Sovereign's Courtyard on Silver Island (late 17th century), and the Front and Rear Entrance Gates (1679–1682).

Serebryano-Vinogradny Pond is located in the floodplain of the Serebryanka River. During the construction of the royal estate (on the site of an old boyar village), the river was blocked by a stone Vinogradnaya dam, near which a mill was placed. The river bed above the dam was deepened and a Grape Pond was created, and on the eastern edge of this pond, where the Khokhlovka River (later Steklyanka) flowed into Serebryanka, another dam was built.

Two small ponds in the south were combined into one Serebryany Pond, at the eastern edge of which the stone Izmailovskaya dam and the Serebrikha mill were built. Eventually, the Vistula Dam was created at the western edge of the Silver Pond and connected the Silver and Grape ponds, forming an island. The Grape Pond got its name due to the fact that various southern fruits and vegetables, including grapes, were grown in Izmailov’s orchards.

Time passed and the dams disappeared. All that remains are the bridges built in their place.

In the mid-60s of the 20th century, Serebryano-Vinogradny Pond was remembered. The remaining buildings on the island were restored and a stadium and sports grounds were built. Near the pond there is an exhibition and sale of arts and crafts products - "Vernissage in Izmailovo". Work is underway to improve the recreation area and preserve the landscape and compositional connections with the architectural complex of the Izmailovo estate.

From the northeast, the Steklyanny Stream (Steklyanka) flowed into the pond.
