The Chinese city of Sanya, the sights of which we will describe in our review, is able to amaze any tourist. This is a multi-valued resort where luxury hotels coexist with exotic flora, and from the windows of countless shopping malls you can enjoy views of the coastal zone or enjoy the contemplation of gorgeous mountain landscapes.
This settlement is the most southern on the island of Hainan, as well as in the entire Celestial Empire. Clear sea, year-round sunny abundance and a long beach strip make the city attractive for tourism and recreation. Here you can snorkel all day, bask in the sun or try to conquer the waves on a surfboard. Sanya is interesting not only for its attractions, but also for shops, shopping centers, souvenir shops and specialized boutiques. More than one tourist is unable to refrain from visiting these establishments.
Brief historical information about the city
The settlement owes its name to three rivers that flow through the entire city, merge and flow into the sea together, forming a symbol resembling the Chinese character Y. In the language of the country, it is pronounced like “I”. Rivers divide the city into three parts. And three in Chinese is pronounced like "San". And so the name "Sanya" appeared. And the word itself means "the confluence of three rivers." Sanya, whose sights are so beautiful, was known to mankind in the first century. Then it was even considered the end of the world.
Once the city was a remote, remote corner of the powerful Chinese empire. It was here that villains and other convicted persons were sent into exile. For people who have lived all their lives on the mainland, the tropical local climate was unusual. But this did not prevent the city from becoming an important trading center and taking an honorable place in the system of international relations of the Celestial Empire. Today, according to ecological criteria, Sanya (attractions are described below) ranks first in and second on the planet. The absence of industrial enterprises provides clean air, and the location of the city in the tropics suggests the absence of winter. 
"Edge of the world" near Sanya
"Edge of the World" is a park that is located near Sanya. It is the most visited attraction. This place cannot be called an ordinary park: it is a magnificent seashore covered with white sand with randomly scattered smooth stones. They resemble overturned and abandoned boats, which in places are immersed in crystal clear water.
Sanya is famous for this amazing place. Attractions that are interesting to see are indicated in the article. And this one is no exception. In addition, this place is shrouded in intriguing legends. One of them tells that once the mythical king Sun Wukong visited the park during his next journey. Seeing an unusual accumulation of smooth huge stones, the monarch was so struck by their magnificence that he called this place "The Edge of Heaven." 
Sightseeing in Sanya
This is the Museum of Sea Shells. This object is especially popular among children. The museum was opened to the public in 2007. It gives tourists the opportunity to plunge into the ocean depths, get acquainted with the fantastic world of underwater inhabitants. Sanya, whose sights are replete with marine themes, is rich in such objects. The area of the museum is three thousand square meters. An exposition consisting of several hundred different mollusks and shells brought from tropical seas is on display here. The exhibitions on display in the museum include over five thousand types of shells and about two hundred varieties of sea corals.

Its length is 2138 meters. The road is located above the strait in the South China Sea and connects Sanya with the island of monkeys called Monkey Island. Tourists just love the cable car. Park with a twist
It is believed that it is located on the tall mountain Luheitou. Sanya can truly be proud of this place. Attractions (how to get there, we will tell further) never cease to amaze travelers. For example, this park. It is small, but its peculiarity lies in the stone statue of a deer that looks back. On both sides of the monument are a girl and a guy belonging to the Li tribe.
The composition reaches 12 meters. It reflects the history of the birth of the park. The pedestal also illustrates a wonderful legend: a young hunter pursued a deer until he drove the animal onto a sheer cliff. The guy was ready to pierce the beast with an arrow, as he looked back and turned into a girl of unearthly beauty. Hunter fell in love with her. She reciprocated and helped save the young man's mother from death.

Due to the fact that Sanya has a small size, any tourist can see the sights on their own. So, to get to the park where the deer with its head turned back is located, you need to take bus number two, which goes through Dadonghai Bay along Liling Road until the ticket stall of the object. And the bus number 25 goes to the Seashell Museum. Or you can get here by taxi. In general, you can get to any sight of the settlement by public transport.
