All about holidays in Sanya: reviews, tips, guide

The city of Sanya can be safely called one of the most beautiful natural corners of China. The location of the resort in the tropical zone contributes to the year-round reception of tourists. The locals have never seen snow. And this is perhaps the only Chinese resort whose beaches can be visited all year round. Yet summer in Sanya is warmer than winter. However, in the "cold" season, holidays in the resort are also comfortable and fun. The average daily temperature in winter is +20 °C, and there is no sweltering heat or rain. It was at this time that the Chinese resort became the most attractive place for tourists from Russia and Ukraine to relax. Russian-speaking travelers fill Sanya closer to the Chinese New Year. True, local hotels, taking advantage of the situation, raise prices for accommodation. And, unfortunately, both five-star hotels and budget guest houses do this.

In summer, the air in Sanya warms up to +29 °C. The 20-kilometer line of the beach opens its spaces to lovers of outdoor activities. And the clear waters of Yalong Bay and Dadonghai Bay encourage tourists to go scuba diving, jet skiing and swimming.

The picturesque resort offers travelers a decent tourist service. A large number of hotels of various price ranges are concentrated around the city's three bays.

Resting in Sanyavan Bay, we visited a very amazing place.

There is an island in China which is the southernmost island. And on the island there is a huge stone on which is written "World's End". This stone gave the park its name. The park is famous not only for this stone, there are a lot of different boulders here. Many of them have their own names and legends associated with them. The park itself is located on a white sandy beach and is a very popular place among the Chinese. But we met few foreign tourists. For 1 ticket to the park, we paid about 100 Chinese yuan. The scenery in the park is simply magnificent. White beach, in front of the azure sea with clear water and huge boulders of various shapes, and behind the green tropical vegetation. What is interesting?

Stone labyrinth of lovers. Stone - progress, similar to the human brain. 2 huge boulders denoting the local Romeo and Juliet, a stone of wealth, a stone of good luck, a stone supporting heaven, an ancient legend is associated with it. Elephant stone and even a stone called "Bachelor's Refuge". The place is really very beautiful. This park hosts the Wedding Festival once a year, and all year round you can meet brides and grooms in it, who are photographed against the backdrop of boulders. This place is popular among lovers, poets and artists. You can also buy souvenirs here. Especially large selection of natural pearls. The average price of beads is about 400-500 rubles. China - he is China in Sanya.

I never felt great sympathy for the people of China, but the desire to swim in the sea and visit another corner of the world nevertheless led me to China. And all because a friend found a ticket for half the price in the resort city of Sanya, which is located on the island of Hainan.

The climate is tropical, for an amateur, the humidity is high and the temperature is the same. Although, in my opinion, this is a "plus", the heat seems to be more tolerable.

We settled in the Days Hotel & Suites. I liked the hotel, the rooms are bright, everything is clean, there is a safe in the room. I was surprised that the maids did not take the tip at all. I especially remember the original pool bar, consisting of levels.

Prices for China seemed high to me. This includes both clothes, souvenirs, and food. In a cafe I'm less than 500 rubles. did not leave.

The sea is wonderful, clean, not always calm, but I even love the waves. Not to say that the beach is clean, in some places small rubbish is lying around. That's why I don't really like China. For me, the indigenous people are noisy and not entirely clean.

As for the impression of the rest, I was satisfied. The resort is located in the tropics, which means it is buried in greenery and exotic flowers, which makes it one of the heavenly places on the planet.

Wuzhizhou - Pirate Island

Have you ever wanted to feel like a pirate and walk along the iron rope bridge, like in the second part of the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean"? I had this opportunity when I visited Wuzhizhou Island, which is located about 35 km from Sanya.

A cozy and sparsely populated island with incredibly rich vegetation has retained its original beauty. Numerous representatives of the flora create a unique ecosystem of the island, the likes of which are very rare on Earth.

The cleanest air, beaches with white fine sand and the sea. By the way, the sea here is just perfect for lovers of all kinds of water activities. Windsurfers and kitesurfers catch the wind here, fishermen compete in the amount of catch, connoisseurs of underwater beauty can see the bottom and its inhabitants by renting a boat with a transparent bottom. Fortunately, the transparency of the water is simply crystal clear, which explains the popularity of snorkeling and diving. After scuba diving, you can explore the old sunken ship, or you can just search for Nemo with a mask and snorkel near the shore. Something is expensive, something is free, something is for risky people, and something is safe... Here everyone will find entertainment to their liking. My husband and I decided to just take a ride on a small sailing yacht around the island and did not regret it at all.

Transfer: I recommend to study this issue in advance and use the bus - the longest flights cost no more than 25 yuan. Taxi drivers are arrogant, they fight godlessly; we arrived in the evening with a tired child in our arms, so we decided not to look for a bus and take a taxi, which we regretted: for a 10-minute trip, we were ripped off 100 yuan (we also took a taxi back from the hotel to the airport - so the same road cost 32 yuan).

Hotel: Since Sanya is the southernmost and, in fact, the main Chinese resort, the prices for accommodation and the level of comfort are very different: you can live in the Dodonghai hotels chosen by the package travelers for $ 100-150 per night, and we lived in the Gold Boutique Holiday apartments in the north of the city (seven blocks from Phoenix Airport), and it cost only $30 per night ($330 for 11 days).

The sights are not particularly interesting and shamelessly expensive: the World's End Park, where there is nothing but stones in the water - 100 yuan for both adults and children. Liuhuito Park (The Deer Turned Its Head) is the same story, and it's just a mountain! There is nothing there - just a beautiful panorama of the city. Somewhere along the way, nasty scandalous monkeys can be caught, in one place there is an aviary with deer (you can find it by smell) - you can feed them: a bunch of grass cut right there in front of you costs 5 yuan. But the children like it - the oleshki are really cute.

Food and products

The food is stupid: in "Russian" restaurants it is expensive and tasteless, in Chinese - there is no translation even into English. In a couple of places they found "Chinese samovars" - a moving belt with all sorts of ingredients, from salad and tofu to crabs and sausages, in front of each place there is a tile with a saucepan in which you have to cook all this food yourself. The number of approaches is not limited, and it turns out very cheap and satisfying - 40-45 yuan per person (tariffs differ in different places).

Souvenirs and other goods

Souvenirs are junk: everything is littered with pearls, but it is impossible to check its quality, there are no guarantees that this is not crushed and pressed mother-of-pearl. The price of beads made of large round pearls or baroque pearls is $100. It's not worth it.

Cost of services and entertainment

The main entertainment in Sanya is the clean and warm sea (in December the water temperature was +23+25*C), and it's free! in Sanya Bay, the beach line stretches for 10 kilometers - fall and sunbathe wherever you want, there are no fenced areas at all.

In May, it is comfortable to relax on Hainan Island for those who are not afraid of heat and stuffiness, but in general it is better to go there from February to April or from September to November.

Where is the best place to stay?

We stayed at the Guesthouse International Hotel 4 *, which exceeded all our expectations. This is the most luxurious hotel we have ever been in. To get to the reception, you need to go from building to building and take several elevators. The first time we were accompanied by a guide and showed all the moves and exits. It's hard to figure it out on your own at first.

The hotel area is very large and beautiful. It has everything for a comfortable stay: swimming pools, sun loungers, fitness equipment, exotic vegetation.

The room has furniture, safe, refrigerator, air conditioning. Cleanliness is perfect, everything shines and shines.

As for food, only breakfast was included. I have never seen such an abundance: meat, exotic fruits, vegetables, drinks, sausages, cheeses, jams. All products are in unlimited quantities, so we had a very hearty breakfast.

What to do at the resort?

On your own, you can visit the Deer Turned its Head Park, which is located in the Dadonghai area. The entrance to the park is inexpensive, and you can walk there for hours, from there you can enjoy beautiful panoramic views.

The cost of the ticket included excursions, but I would like to note that in China they boil down to selling something to the tourist.

1) Factory of pearls.

An English-speaking guide will tell you how pearls are grown. The factory has two showrooms for jewelry and cosmetics with pearls.

2) Museum of tea.

You will take part in a tea ceremony, try different varieties, learn the history of each variety. Of course, after all this, you will be offered to buy tea.

We went to Dadonghai Beach, which is located near the city of Sanya. This is one of the most beautiful beaches in China, with clean white sand and clear water. The beach area is cleaned, there are showers, changing cabins and toilets. Along the beach there are bars, cafes and shops where you can buy hats, glasses, souvenirs. The beach has concert venues that come alive in the evening. You can listen to music and dance for free.

Pros of staying in Sanya

1) There are few tourists, because it is hot in May.

2) Very beautiful nature.

3) Clear sea.

4) Good cuisine.

5) Excellent service.

6) No mosquitoes, flies, spiders.

7) An abundance of seafood and exotic fruits.

8) Thermal springs.

Cons of staying in Sanya

1) Language barrier.

2) There is a problem of petty theft.

3) Large fines for smoking in public places.
