Blanes - beach holidays in Spain

I have long dreamed of going to Spain. Many of the writers I love have written about her with such love and admiration! This, of course, is Hemingway, although he is not a Spaniard at all, but in my opinion, no one has written about Spain so interestingly and with such love. This, of course, is Coelho, Marquez, Dali, Gaudi, Picasso... I always wanted to see the places that they all loved so much and literally invited us here.

I went for 12 days, and I managed to touch Spain very superficially. Time flew by like lightning. And the crowds of tourists, also eager to touch the history of Spain, to its sights, really interfered with this. Incredible crowds of tourists everywhere. I have never seen such a crowd of tourists anywhere.

We settled in a small town on the coast Costa Brava- v . I chose it after reading a lot of reviews about Spain and about the rest there. During the trip, I was convinced that the choice was made correctly. From Blanes you can go on excursions to other cities in Spain, both with excursions offered by various Russian-speaking agencies, and on your own. Blanes does not have such huge crowds of tourists as in other cities in Spain.

There are a lot of cafes along the promenade. Very pleasant to visit. Almost all have free Wi-Fi

Blanes is the southernmost resort on the Costa Brava. It is located 60 km away. Getting from it to Barcelona or Girona is very convenient. The city of Blanes has its own 2000 year history. It is quite evident in the old town, where the narrow streets and old buildings speak for themselves. There are many tiny squares, which can lead to 8 crooked narrow streets. I once counted. And it's not worth getting lost there. But finding a way out is also not difficult. The city is tiny. There are mountains and the sea. To the ancients attractions applies Church of Santa Maria- 17th century building gothic fountain of san joan- 15th century building Chapel of Our Lady of Hope. In Blanes, among other things, there are botanical gardens - Marimurtra and Piña de Rossa very worthy of attention and visit. Every Monday, the Blanes waterfront hosts a weekly fair. The fair attracts vendors from all over the coast. They sell clothes, swimwear, souvenirs, bags of Spanish and, in my opinion, something of Chinese manufacturers ... Every day the fair is held on some beach of the Costa Brava. If you didn’t have time to go to the fair in your town, then you can go to the next one. In the evenings, all kinds of souvenirs made by local craftsmen are sold on the embankment, and many residents and vacationers stroll along the sea and look at these handicrafts. You can sit in a cafe. There are a lot of them along the sea.

Beaches in Blanes just great. The water is clean, the sea is calm and warm. Near the Miranda hotel, the entrance to the sea is quite steep - after a couple of steps the sea is already deep. It is so sweet. Amazing! The feeling of huge water. The water is salty and keeps you well on the surface. I don't want to leave the sea. There is always a pleasant breeze from the sea. Story! All beaches have fresh water showers, as well as paid sun loungers and umbrellas. But in Blanes, (where I was, there was a campsite nearby, maybe this is the reason) many people carry folding chairs, umbrellas and towels with them. An umbrella can be bought in numerous shops for 12 euros. And for renting a sunbed with an umbrella you need to pay 5-6 euros. The benefit is there. People there are simpler, there are those who know how to count money and are not ashamed of it. Many simply lay a towel on the sand and thus sunbathe. The beaches are all municipal. And everything is very democratic there.
