Towns and tridents
Historically, Club Med resorts have been referred to as "towns" (French. village), which emphasizes that guests do not get to the hotel, but to a whole self-sufficient resort complex. For example, swimming pools, sports fields, children's clubs, a playground with a circus trapeze, a SPA center - all this is also part of the "town".
The level of comfort in Club Med, unlike ordinary hotels, is indicated not by stars, but by one or another number of tridents (the trident of the ancient sea deity Poseidon is one of the symbols of Club Med). At the same time, the division does not correspond to the star system: Club Med campuses provide a wider range of services compared to regular hotels standard category.
Currently, guests can choose accommodation with a comfort level of three, four or five tridents. The level of "5 tridents" may not correspond to the entire resort, but its separate zone, called the "quarter". Club Med resorts are divided into several categories − new Club Med Grand Massif Samoëns Morillon belongs to the 4T, the so-called "four tridents": only the super-exclusive five are higher. You can stay in one of 420 rooms (each with breathtaking views of the Alps!), and next year there will be 45 more spacious chalets up to four bedrooms. Guests receive an air ticket, transfer and the opportunity to ski under the supervision of the best graduates of the prestigious French ski school EFS (Ecole du Ski Francais). The Grand Massif has 264 km of slopes and more than 100 km of uninterrupted cross-country skiing, and, nicely, the ski lifts can be reached directly from the hotel by skis. In Club Med this option is called ski-in/ski-out. At the same time, both skiers and snowboarders of absolutely any level are a pleasure to ride here: 20 green slopes, 64 blue, 50 red and 14 black - for super-desperate extreme sportsmen. The ski pass and tuition are included, as are French breakfasts, lunches and dinners from top chefs.
