Airbus a330 300 ai fly. Airbus A330: cabin layout, best seats

If you're flying with European airlines, you're more likely to get on board the A300: the plane is usually the 330. Some companies in other countries may still use the original model, although major carriers replaced it back in 2015. New aircraft developed as an alternative , are highly comfortable. But what do you need to know in order to choose the right places?

Scheme of the Airbus 330-300 aircraft on Aeroflot lines: the best and worst places

On flights Russian airline 17 A300-330 aircraft are used. The main difference lies in the number of seats in the business compartment: it is 36 (in 1 liner), 34 (in 5) or 28 (in 11).

The most common option provides that 5 rows are allocated for a business lounge. 28 seats are arranged according to the 2-2-2 scheme, with the exception of the last row with 2-2 placement.

If you are in the business compartment, the trip will be comfortable anyway. The seats here can be expanded to 180˚ and relax. Truth, 1st and 5th rows are located close to the buffet, so passengers are sometimes disturbed by the noise and smells of food.

Seat selection in Airbus 330-300 Economy Class

ranks 11-45 allocated for economy class with the main placement of seats according to the 2-4-2 scheme. The following are exceptions:

  • V 28th and 29th only 4 chairs.
  • On the 42-45 seats are arranged in a 2-3-2 pattern.

The best options on board the Airbus 330-300 at Aeroflot are 30C and 30H. They are located near the emergency exit, so you get extra space and stretch your legs.

According to passenger reviews, places are also considered good 29D, E, F and G. Tall travelers will like them, but, unlike the previous options, they have drawbacks. After all, the chairs are located near the toilets, and you will be disturbed by passengers scurrying past. But, if you're traveling with a baby, you'll love the availability of cribs.

The bad options in the Airbus 330-300 on the lines include the following rows:

  • 11th located close to restrooms and buffet. You will be disturbed by unpleasant odors and increased permeability. There are also mounts for cradles nearby: there is a risk that a naughty baby will be nearby.
  • 27th and 28th located near the restrooms. The backs of the seats do not recline fully or are fixed.
  • V 41st place D is considered bad. Due to the fact that the interior begins to narrow behind it, there are no seats behind. For this reason, passengers returning from the restroom touch the back of the seat.
  • 44th considered unsuccessful due to the proximity of the toilets. The exception is 44F, because the chair is far from the aisle.
  • 45th- the worst option Airbus cabin 330-300. It is located near the restrooms, so you have to put up with the presence of a queue in the cabin. The seats do not recline, and you will not be able to sleep peacefully on the plane.

All Airbus 330-300 passengers are offered in-flight entertainment with more than 70 movies and TV programs on Panasonic eX2 monitors. There are also sockets and USB ports; Wi-Fi is available on some ships.

Airbus 330-300 on Lufthansa lines

The interior plans that he uses are presented in 3 versions:

  • 8 first class compartments, 30 business class seats, 21 premium economy seats and 177 economy seats;
  • 8 passengers travel in first class, 42 in business, 21 in premium economy, 145 in economy;
  • 42 seats are located in the business section, 28 - in the "premium economy", 185 - in the "economy".

If you are traveling on an Airbus 330-300 in first class, pay attention to the ticket selection rules:

  • Seats in the first class are arranged according to the scheme 1-2-1. Either option will be a winner, although in the 1st row you will be concerned about the proximity of the buffet and restrooms.
  • Under the business compartment, 3-12 rows are allocated with the placement of seats 2-2-2. Unsuccessful is considered 10th as it is next to the toilets.
  • Seats in Premium Economy (2-3-2) feature improved dimensions: 96.5 cm long and 45.7 cm wide compared to standard. But 34th the row will be a disappointment, as the proximity of the baffle will give you less legroom.
  • The economy sector includes rows from 30 to 46, with seats 43.1 cm wide and 78.7 long placed according to the principle 2-4-2 and 2-3-2. The best option counts 30th, because the proximity of the emergency exit will give you extra legroom. The disadvantages include the fact that there is a toilet nearby. In addition, retractable tables are mounted on the armrests, which affects the width of the seats.
  • are considered unsuccessful 41D, E, G, since the seats are inconveniently located in relation to those in front. Try not to be on 40D or 40G: there are no seats behind them, so passengers returning from the restroom often touch the backs.
  • Avoid placing on 46th row, it is located next to the toilet. The backs of the seats will be fixed, and you will not be able to relax with the amenities.

Consider these subtleties, choose your seats on the Airbus A330-300 in advance, and there will be no unpleasant surprises.

Airbus 330-300 Reviews on Lufthansa Lines

07/22/2017, the passenger flew 40H

Once on board the Airbus 330-300, I saw that the seats in rows 40-46 were narrower than the rest in economy class. This should be marked in red on the interior diagrams! The flight was just terrible.

07/05/2018, the passenger flew 26A

I decided to treat myself to a premium economy and did not regret it: the dimensions of the chair exceeded my expectations. The space became smaller when the passenger flying in front leaned back. But everything was better than in economy class! Liked the food and the service. I think the money is well spent.

Airbus A 330-300: cabin layout on Lufthansa flights without premium class

On the lines of the airline, a ship with 3 classes of service is also used. Rows 1-11 in this aircraft are reserved for the business section; The seats are arranged in a 2-2-2 pattern. With all the advantages of the option, try to avoid placing in 1st, 5th (except 5A and 5K) and 10th rows because they are close to toilets or service areas.

Premium economy takes the ranks 15-19 ; Seats are arranged in a 2-3-2 pattern. The best option is the whole 15th because the legroom is increased. Seats with the letter E will be an unsuccessful solution: you will be between other passengers, and you will not succeed in getting up without disturbing them.

Look for cheap tickets for any type of transport without leaving your home:

If you are in the economy compartment, look for the following on the diagram:

  • 22D, E, F, G;
  • 23A, C, H.

Since there are no other chairs in front of these seats, you will be able to stretch your legs. This plus is accompanied by disadvantages: a retractable table and a monitor are mounted on the armrest. As a result, it is fixed, and the width of the seat decreases.

The controversial options on board the Airbus 330-300 aircraft include 29th row, 30C and 30H. Although legroom allows you to sit comfortably, the proximity of the toilet will cause discomfort. Places will fail 30A and 30K, as the nearby emergency exit door will interfere with you.

It is undesirable to sit on 41D, E and G(location relative to front standing places can be uncomfortable), and 40D and 40G. 46th a row on the Airbus 330-300 is traditionally considered unsuccessful due to the fixed backs of the seats.

Reviews for an Airbus 330-300 flight with Lufthansa (3-class cabin)

On 10/03/2018 the passenger flew 18A

I have already traveled with Lufthansa and appreciated the convenience of Airbus. I like the improved economy compartment because I get comfort at an affordable price. But this time the trip was a disappointment! It turned out that if the passenger sitting in front reclines his back completely, it is impossible to get out of my seat. Going to the toilet turned into a problem, which ruined the experience.

Turkish Airlines Airbus 330-300 aircraft

Turkish Airlines uses the model on international flights. The capacity is 289 passengers: 28 are placed in the business compartment, and 261 in the economy class.

To choose the best seats on the Airbus A330-300, consider the following:

  • Rows for business class 1-5 , and passengers are not recommended to stay in the first and last. There are restrooms and a buffet nearby, which can spoil the impression of the flight.
  • In the economy class (6-40th rows) are considered good 6th and 24th, because the proximity of the emergency exit allows you to get additional space.
  • The number of unsuccessful places include the entire 22nd and 23rd row: the seatbacks recline only partially or are fixed.
  • you won't like it and 36D, E and F because there is little legroom. In places 35D and F passengers complain that other travelers bump into the backs of their seats.
  • The worst options are all 40th row, 38A, B, J and K. The proximity of restrooms and fixed seat backs will ruin your flight. Do not sit on 12A or 12K: there are no portholes next to them.

By choosing your seats in advance, you can travel in comfort.

The largest airliner of the A330 family is the Airbus 330-300 (Airbus 330-300). The aircraft of this model is capable of carrying up to 440 passengers in a one-class cabin, 335 if the configuration is two-class and 295 people if the cabin consists of three classes: business, first and economy.

Armchairs in the cabin can be placed in different ways, and their number varies widely.

Aeroflot Airlines operates only 17 such aircraft, of which:

1 liner with a layout of seats - 36 (business class) / 265 (economy)
5 liners with layout - 34 (business class) / 268 (economy)
11 liners with a layout of 296 passengers: 28 (business class) / 268 (economy).

The main difference between these liners is the different number of passenger seats in the business class.

Since the machines have minor differences in terms of seat placement, for example, we will consider one, but the largest aircraft with a configuration of 28/268 and determine good and bad places. Please note that our recommendations are suitable for absolutely all liners of this type that Aeroflot uses.

The front of the cab is occupied 5 or 6 rows business class. All chairs are quite comfortable, comfortable and "recline" almost 180º. However, it is worth paying attention to the 1st, 5th and 6th rows, which are highlighted in the diagram yellow. The first row is located in close proximity to the wardrobe, kitchen and restrooms, which brings minor discomfort to passengers in these seats during the flight. In addition, immediately after the 6th row, a noisy economy class begins.

Landing seats in rows 11 and 29 it is worth buying for passengers with babies, as there are attachments for cradles near these rows.

15 row seats (A and K). Standard seats of this class, but in the layout of the Airbus 28/268, there are no windows near the 15th row. Therefore, if you prefer to admire the flight, you should look for other places.

Seats in the 29th row (A, C, H, K) have both advantages and disadvantages. Pros - since there is an emergency exit near the row, there is a sufficient amount of free space in front of the seats. Thanks to this, you can leave your seat without disturbing your neighbors at all, stretch your legs, and you will not have to prop up the back of the front seat with your knees for the entire flight. This is of no small importance for long flights.

To the disadvantages of these seats you can include huge monitors that are located in front of the 29th row and work even during a night flight. Also, the disadvantage of this row is the close location of the bathrooms, which entails constant movement of people, the formation of queues, additional noise and endless opening and closing of doors.

Places 27, 28, 44 and 45 rows. All seats in these rows of economy class have 2 rather significant drawbacks.

Firstly, these are seats either do not recline at all, or they have restrictions.

Secondly- latrines, which are located directly in front of these rows. Clutter, queue, extraneous smells and sounds will annoy you throughout the flight. Do not book these places if there are other options.

41 row. These are regular economy class seats. However, it should be noted that here there is a narrowing of the fuselage, due to which the seats D and G are slightly “pushed out” into the aisle.

Of all the 17 liners, it is worth highlighting the Airbus with tail number VQ-BNS. The main difference of this liner is the layout - 36/265. In addition, economy class seats are more comfortable and are equipped with sockets and footrests. If you managed to book tickets for this particular airliner, then your flight will be very comfortable.

And finally, recommendations and tips for choosing the best seats on the Airbus A330-300:
  • Visit the official website of the airline and familiarize yourself with the scheme of the liner you are planning to fly;
  • When choosing seats, follow the recommendations listed above, choose good seats for yourself;
  • If in doubt, contact an Aeroflot employee for help.
General tips for choosing good seats on ships of any configuration:
  • Make sure that the chairs are laid out in the places you have chosen and are not limited in this;
  • You should not buy places located near technical rooms, latrines, kitchens, as well as in the tail of the liner.

The softness of the landing is in the hands of the PIC, no need for fairy tales. They took off and landed no worse than on the A320 / 321, B738.
The layout is great for flying together! More than legroom. The entertainment system also works on domestic flights.

Well, if some car does not land well, then it is either the weather or the crooked hands of the pilots. It is not necessary to drive on such a technique.

I flew this plane. The plane is great, but the only thing I didn't like was the layout of the seats. 2-4-2 for a family of 3 people is very inconvenient

I flew several times Khb-Msk. In principle, it's good, cozy, but as already mentioned - hard, completely uncomfortable chairs, which, in addition, sometimes do not fix properly. However, legroom with my height of 180 is more than enough. The plane takes off perfectly, it flies well, but here's the landing .. damn it, perhaps not his strong point. If the B-777 usually sits down smoothly in "one breath", and if it is necessary to circle over the destination airport - also without problems, without unnecessary discomfort for passengers, then the arbus during landing maneuvers, sometimes such an impression, holds on to the air with all its last strength, falling through, convulsively twitching, swaying, if at the same time there is still turbulence, then generally pipets, funny slides begin. Pawns ears, cracks head. Uncomfortable and sometimes a little uncomfortable. Something like this. The overall score is not too hard four.

Multimedia, service on top. BUT!!! From New York to Moscow, I flew in economy class as if on a stool. With a height of 182, I could neither sit nor turn normally. Tired and didn't sleep at all. No place to put your feet. The best ones would have put normal seats instead of bells and whistles. If you are a yogi then please fly!

Aircraft for undersized people, not higher than 150 cm. Maybe for short distances you can still endure it. But for flights longer than 1.5-2 hours, this is unbearable! She flew herself and, with my short stature (162 cm), experienced inconvenience. The backs of the seats are like boards, made without the slightest regard for the bends of the backs. The seats themselves are for short legs! Horror! I agree that only the excellent service of the team smooths out the agony of sitting in this plane. I really sympathize with those who fly long-haul flights 😦

Good night everyone!
I flew this bird for 5 years.
And I can say one thing - the liner fully complies with its parameters, the only minus is that it gives an LL error when landing. It is very comfortable and carbonateable,

I flew recently on such Aeroflot. MSK-Tenerife and back. There board named after Pasternak, back Sakhorov.
On the first one, the salon is tired, half of the multimedia is broken, the rest freezes (during the flight it was overloaded 5 times). The second one is better.
Economy class: the seats are terribly uncomfortable for a person of any height, very hard and with the wrong inclination. For tall people - hell. I am 190 tall. 7 hours of flight - everything is numb, everything hurts. By the end of the flight, all the aisles were clogged with standing people, because no one could sit on such a city
To Aeroflot's credit: The crew is excellent. The flight is perfect. Stewards - well-trained. Service is top notch.

Flight Tel Aviv-Moscow Moscow-Khabarovsk and back in 21 days by the same Aeroflot a330-300! flew economy, a total of four flights. Of course, this is the only minus the distance between the seats, I admit it was a bit cramped with my height of 186cm. Everything else was very good! the food is wonderful on both international and federal flights! Well, I won’t even discuss the business class, you understand))) I liked the excellent liner !!!

Great plane. I flew it from Phuket to Kuala Lumpur (a / c Qatar Airways) and from Moscow to Istanbul (a / c Turkish Airlines). There were no complaints about the flights: takeoff, flight level, landing - everything was in normal mode. The turbulence is not felt as strongly as in the Airbus 319 or 320. The ears were a little stuffy when landing. The distance between the seats is the choice of the airline operators, claims against them. I didn’t like the design of the seats: the headrest goes back a little, because of this, after a short flight time, the back starts to hurt and you need to get up and walk around the cabin, stretch. Soundproofing is good. I think that the aircraft is ideal for flights over medium distances. For long transcontinental flights, it is better to choose a Boeing 767, 777 or 747.

a disgusting plane, the seats are hard and uncomfortable, they are installed in the cabin to the maximum without caring about the passengers, cruising speed is usually 800 km / h, against 850 for Boeing. The multimedia system is extremely slow, it thinks for a long time after pressing a button on the remote control, the organization of the menu is about nothing. As a long-haul aircraft, it is designed for extremely unassuming passengers. If possible, it is better to fly on Boeing 767.

I flew it in February 2014 from Moscow to Los Angeles and back by Aeroflot. All liked it. I'm small, so I didn't have any problems with my legs. I bought an inflatable neck pillow, a pretty comfortable thing. The service was good. Wine came in handy. The only negative is that multimedia systems take a long time to respond to button presses on the remote control.

I fly to Hong Kong very often. 2, 4 flights per month. From Moscow direct only in Aeroflot. As a rule, they install the A-330 and spend nine hours in the cabin of this aircraft - not an easy task. To the banal: there is nowhere to put your legs, the chairs do not fold out. I tried compression underwear - it does not help, the body aches and numbs. Several times they changed board to IL-96 and Boeing-767. What is called feel the difference. Planes are for people, not for undersized Chinese.

I flew from Helsinki to Delhi. The plane is good for everyone, only the only drawback in my opinion is the too small distance between the seats. The legs rest on the front seat. Everything else is at a high level, given that I flew in economy class.

Air routes that have entangled the planet are an integral part of modern life. Dozens of airlines are engaged in the transportation of passengers and cargo, and each is interested in the economy, reliability and high technical characteristics of the vehicles used.

Aircraft manufacturers, competing with each other and creating new types of machines, move technology forward. A great contribution to the aircraft industry was made by the European company Airbus, whose aircraft, the Airbus A330 300, is the leader among machines flying long distances.

Creation of an aircraft

In the 1970s, Airbus management was concerned about competing with Boeing, which had won a niche passenger traffic over long distances.

The designers were given the task of designing a new type of heavy passenger aircraft. In 1980, the project received an intermediate number, TA9 TA, and since 1986, the number A330 has been assigned.

In June 1987, the development of the concept of a new aircraft was officially announced.

A feature of the project was the inclusion in the design of parts of other aircraft of the company. For example, the development of a single model of the cockpit allowed saving time both on engineering and design work, and on crew training.

In 1992, a presentation of a new development took place, and in the same year it first took to the air. In 1993-1994, the third prototype, already painted in the colors of the air carrier, the customer of the new machine, passed the necessary flight tests and received certification.

During the 1990s and 2000s, work was carried out on new modifications of the machine. As a result, world aviation has become richer for several more types of equipment, but this has not exhausted the work on the machine, which has a large resource for modernization.

How the plane works

The Airbus is built on the principle of a low wing, the wing is located in the lower part of the fuselage. The fuselage itself is wide, with classic plumage and one keel. The flight is provided by a pair of turbofan jet engines. Depending on the modification, these are Rolls-Royce, Pratt and Whitney, or General Electric. Chassis with supports in the amount of three, a pair under the center section, in the middle of the fuselage, one in front, a little further than the cockpit.

A feature of this and other Airbus aircraft is the control through the sidestick, the side handle in the cockpit.

The cabin itself is equipped with a large amount of electronics, an on-board computer that reads the movements of the sidestick. There are several radio receivers, including an emergency receiver-transmitter that operates offline.

Fuel tanks are designed for 13,400 kilometers of flight at cruising speed, and the maximum reaches 930 km / h. The maximum ceiling is 13 kilometers.

The passenger compartment, depending on the model, has three varieties:

  • with one class, designed for 440 seats;
  • with two classes, for 335 passengers, with traditional division;
  • with three classes, for 295 people, respectively, with different levels of comfort.

Despite this division, the difference between the aircraft is not particularly noticeable. Places in all three types has several common features characteristic of all aircraft of this class.

The first 6 rows represent the business class, the most expensive places. The first, second, as well as the fifth and sixth row, meanwhile, are more restless, and, therefore, cheaper.

The proximity of the technical zones in the first two cases, and the economy class in the latter, implies frequent anxiety. The proximity of the bathroom, kitchen and staff area, with constantly on lighting, can interfere with rest or work in flight.

It is worth remembering that these inconveniences can be attributed to excessive susceptibility, since business class is known for its comfort.

The economy class also has several features. So, passengers traveling with children are best suited for the eleventh and twenty-ninth rows, there are assistive devices for caring for the baby. Those who like to stretch their legs are also suitable for these places, as there is a large free space in front of the seats.

The only negative, as a rule, these two categories of passengers often come into conflict. Passengers with older children are better off taking seats near windows that are not covered by wings, as teenagers are always happy to watch the flight.

For people concerned about safety, it is best to take seats in the tail. According to statistics, in case of accidents, passengers are most likely to survive.

Competition with similar machines

Since the Airbus A330 300 is not the only aircraft in the world, it will be useful to compare it with its closest competitor. The most common and well-known type of similar aircraft is the Boeing 767 or 777 model.

  • all types of aircraft have 2 pilots;
  • the passenger capacity of the Airbus is from 253 to 440 people on various modifications, the Boeing accommodates from 181 to 440 passengers;
  • the mass of cars is 233000 kg for Airbus, and from 179170 to 297550 for Boeing;
  • cruising speed of Airbus 896 km/h, Boeing different models this figure varies from 870 km / h to 917 km / h;
  • the maximum speed is respectively 913 km/h and from 913 km/h to 950 km/h.

these comparative characteristics speak about the stability of the Airbus. Despite the higher performance of Boeing, they were obtained on more modern machines.

Not all vehicles put into operation have these qualities, while European vehicles initially had high performance.

Aircraft based on the A330

The base model served as the basis for modifications:

  • A330-100, an unsuccessful first version, conceived as a replacement for the A300 and A310, but contributing to wing research and interchangeability;
  • A330-200, designed to replace the A300-600R version and fight on equal terms, was certified in 1998, one of the most popular aircraft, technically distinguished by an elongated keel;
  • A330-200F, cargo version previous aircraft, born in Toulouse in 2009. The machine is capable of transporting both pallets and containers weighing up to 65 tons for 7400 kilometers, or 70 tons for 5950 kilometers, they are distinguished by a variety of internal layout in accordance with the specifics of the goods transported. Upgraded to the A330-200HGW model, either increasing range by 560 kilometers or carrying weight by 3.4 tons;
  • A330-300, stretched fuselage, intended as a replacement for the old machines of the line, is being created in both cargo and passenger versions;
  • A330 of the Neo series, developments of recent years, based on new types of materials and designs, designed to replace obsolete machines manufactured in the 1990s-2000s;
  • The A330 P2F, also a novelty developed and produced jointly with Singapore's ST Aerospace, is a variant that includes a hybrid cargo/passenger air transport.

Airbus is also successfully working with the military. For the RAF (Royal Air Force) of Her Majesty Elizabeth II, engineers prepared the Airbus A330MRTT, a transport tanker. Later it was modified in FSTA, where the letter F means future - the future, declaring their ambitions. With the Americans, this model participated in the tender as the KC-30.

The possibilities are truly amazing. At the same time, the "bird" can "feed" two aircraft or helicopters, while it is possible not only to transport fuel, but also passengers. The age-old competitor, Boeing, was defeated and the British Air Force placed orders for 16 of these machines, the Australians needed 5 more.

Another 179 winged tanks are going to be purchased by the United States Air Force, while they are supposed to be used both as a transport and as a refueling tanker. The order, however, is frozen due to a corruption scandal in the tender, however, it refers to Boeing.

Role in world aviation

Among the passengers, the Airbus A330 receives flattering reviews. Comfort and reliability distinguishes this aircraft.

During the period of use, there were eight aircraft, of which at least three were destroyed for reasons not related to the design, such as a surprise attack on the airfield.

This aircraft is used by the world's leading air carriers, from Nordwind and Qatar to the Russian Aeroflot. In some cases, "watermelon" is taken as the standard of a passenger air carrier, due to its cost-effectiveness and European quality.

Video

One of the most popular long-range airliners at present is the Airbus A330-300, which is manufactured by the European concern Airbus S.A.S. The fleet of the Russian airline Aeroflot has 22 Airbus A330 aircraft of modifications 200 and 300, and, for example, Turkish Airlines - 34.

Brief historical background

The main shareholder of the European concern Airbus S.A.S is the European aerospace concern EADS, which, in turn, is owned by:

  • the French government - 22.43%;
  • French concern Lagardere - 15.1%;
  • German concern Daimler AG - 22.52%;

Work on the creation of a European passenger airliner with a wide fuselage and two engines was started in 1987, and in 1992 the Airbus 330-300 first flew, was certified in Europe and in the USA in 1993, having received the appropriate certificates. In the same year, sales of the airliner started, and the French airline Air Inter began to operate regular flights on Airbus aircraft from 1994.

Airbus A330 family

In the line of the Airbus family of airliners, 8 modifications have been developed, namely:

  1. The Airbus A330-100 is the first airliner developed in this line, designed to replace the outdated A300 and A310 models. But the existing design flaws and outright mistakes forced us to abandon further work on the A330-100;
  2. Airbus A330-200 - was developed to replace the A300-600 and as a competitor to the Boeing-767;
  3. Airbus A330-200F - cargo version. Work on the creation began due to a decrease in consumer interest in the predecessor - A300-600F;
  4. Airbus A300-200HGW - a variant of the airliner with a higher takeoff weight;
  5. Airbus A330-300 is the most popular member of the family. In various versions, it can accommodate from 295 to 440 passengers and has an oversized cargo compartment;
  6. Airbus A330 P2F - for the transportation of large volumes of cargo and passengers;
  7. The Airbus A330-200 MRTT is a military transport aircraft with refueling capabilities. Equipped with fuel tanks with a total capacity of 111 tons of jet fuel;
  8. The Airbus A330-200 FSTA is the strategic refueling airliner of the future, and its design work has not yet been completed.

Description of modification

ICAO code A330-300 - A333/H. On airplanesAirbus model a330 modification 300 used technological solutions applied to the model a320, namely:

  • EFIS instrument system (Electronic flight instrument system);
  • electronic control system "fly-by-wire";
  • control levers "sidestick" in the form of joysticks;
  • General Electric CF6-80E1A2 engines;
  • Pratt & Whitney PW-4164 engines;
  • Rolls Royce Trent-768 and Trent-772 engines.

The EFIS instrumentation system consists of 6 transparent LCD monitors mounted on the windshield of the cockpit, which display all information from the computer control system, starting with the aircraft position coordinates and ending with the runway projection. The wide fuselage of the Airbus a330 300 is designed similarly to the previous A300 B2/B4, but longer.

The main rivals of the Airbus A330-300 are the Boeing 787-9 and Boeing 777-200ER. Airliners A330-300 are in demand today by many major airlines world and are made to order, in particular:

  • Lufthansa;
  • US Airways;
  • Turkish Airlines;
  • Air Canada;
  • Northwest Airlines;
  • Swiss International Air Lines;
  • Qatar Airways;
  • Singapore Airlines;
  • Aeroflot and others.

The capacity of an airliner depends on the layout of the cabin.

Scheme of the passenger compartment A330-300

For the modification of the a 330 300 Airbus aircraft, the layout of the cabin of Aeroflot and other airlines, in particular, Turkish Airlines, differ. There are 3 options in total:

  1. The total number of seats on the aircraft for passengers is 302 (7 boards of A330 300 Aeroflot). Of these, 34 seats are business class and 268 are economy class;

  1. The total number of seats for passengers is 296 (9 boards). Of these, 28 seats are for business class passengers and 268 seats are for economy class passengers;

  1. The total number of seats for passengers is 301 (1 side). Of these, 36 seats are for business class passengers and 265 are for economy class passengers.

Important! Passenger seats in business class feature increased legroom (Space+ seats). Also, some seats in the economy class cabin allow you to freely stretch your legs during the flight.

Additional Information. Turkish Airlines also operates 3-class aircraft (Business, 1st and Economy). The maximum liner capacity of Turkish Airlines is 440 seats (without dividing the cabin into classes).

Seats in business class

Seats in business class are different large sizes and a high degree of passenger comfort. Depending on the layout of the cabin, their location may be different: they occupy the first 5 or 6 rows in the bow of the aircraft. Extra legroom and seat width make for a comfortable flight experience.

However, among these places there are also those that are considered less comfortable for travel. Seats located in rows 1 and 5 (or 6, depending on the type of interior layout) are located near the utility compartments. For example, seats in the first row A, C and H, K are directly opposite the wardrobe compartments, and seats D and G are opposite the kitchen utility room, from where food and drinks are distributed. Also, places A, C and K, H of the last row are located in close proximity to the toilet cubicles, which can also cause some inconvenience.

Important! Behind the seats of the last row (5 or 6) there are emergency evacuation exits, which makes it difficult to fully unfold the seats, because. these passages during the flight must always be free.

Additional Information. In airliners of layout 28-268 in the business class cabin, a full unfolding of the passenger seat into a berth is provided, at an angle of 180 degrees.

Seats in economy class

Regardless of the layout of the passenger compartment, the layout of both the most successful and the most unsuccessful places is approximately the same.

In accordance with the system for placing passenger seats in the cabin of an airliner, after the business class there is an economy class cabin, divided into 2 parts. The numbering of the rows here starts from the 11th and ends with the 45th side by side. The degree of comfort of the seats differs from the business class, but in general, in accordance with the requirements of international standards, it is quite high. There are monitors in the backs of the seats, and control units for audio and video systems are mounted in the armrests. The distance between the rows of seats is sufficient to stretch your legs and not experience discomfort during the flight.

by the most the best places in economy class, you can count the seats:

  • 11 row: places A, C and H, K;
  • 29 row: places A, C and H, K.

They are located along the left and right sides. Passengers sitting in these chairs are not disturbed by either walking back and forth, or fuss in the cabin. Meanwhile, since these rows are located directly in front of the dividing walls, they have even more space in front of the seats and allow you to freely get up from your seat without disturbing your neighbors.

  • 11 row: D, E, F, G;
  • 29 row: D, E, F, G.

Further, in descending order of comfort, all other places in the rows along the sides with the letters A, C and H, K follow, and they can be considered the most unfortunate in rows from 43 to 45. It is especially worth mentioning the places in row 45. They are in close proximity to toilets and the constant turmoil and crowds around during the flight are provided. Also in this place, the fuselage of the aircraft narrows significantly and the space between the seats and rows also becomes smaller.

Additional Information. It is worth noting that some rows are equipped with mounts for child seats and cribs, so the neighborhood with small children may be uncomfortable for other passengers.

Places providing for the placement of prams and cradles:

  • 1 row: A, C, D, G, H and K;
  • 11 row: A, C, D, E, H and K;
  • 29 row: D, E, F and G.

Also among the inconvenient are the rows located in front of emergency exits or in front of internal bulkheads, because the backs of their chairs have a limited angle of deflection or do not fold out at all. These are the places:

  • 27th row: A, C, H, K;
  • 28 row: D, E, F, G;
  • 44 row: A, C, H, K;
  • 45 row: D, F, G.

Service on board

Depending on the class of service corresponding to the category of the purchased ticket, passengers are provided with the following services:

  • hot meals;
  • electrical sockets (in business class);
  • cool drinks;
  • press;
  • warm blankets;
  • wireless Internet (the access network is called "On Air");
  • audio, and video entertainment (games, movies, radio, etc.);
  • purchases in the SKY SHOP duty free shop.

Important! Internet provision is a paid service.

The cost is:

  • 15 minutes (10 Mb) - $5;
  • 1 hour (30 Mb) - $15;
  • 3 hours (100 Mb) - $40;
  • The whole flight (150 Mb) - $50.

The cost of each MB over the limit is $1. Both cash and bank cards are accepted for payment.

Given the above, when checking in either at the airport or online on the airline's website, you can choose convenient places and spend time in flight with maximum comfort.
