Airbus a321 jet cabin layout best places. Cabin layout and the best seats on the Airbus A321 of Ural Airlines

Ural Airlines is one of the major airlines Russia, which transports passengers within the country and abroad. There are only three types in the company's fleet aircraft: Airbus A319, A320 and A321. In total, the fleet has 43 aircraft, 13 of them are Airbus A321.

Specifications

The Airbus A321 was launched in 1994 and is the next in the generation of the A320 fuselage aircraft family, designed for medium and short range flights. The main difference is that it is extended by almost 7 m and can accommodate more places, in comparison with the A320 and A319.

Main technical Airbus characteristics A321:

Airbus industrie A321 Ural Airlines cabin map

There are many modifications of the Airbus 321 cabin schemes. The airline has only one variant for 220 seats in operation (you can see the scheme in the photo below). Let's consider what better places on this plane to take when buying a ticket.

In this variant of the air carrier there is no business class. Only economic available. Armchairs, basically, cost 3 in each side of the aircraft.

1 row is located behind the emergency exits, which provides these places with additional free space in front. No one will press you with the back of the chair, since there are no neighbors in front. Passenger service starts from this row. But noise can be heard from the kitchen and bathrooms, which are located in front of the passenger compartment.

10 row- a row in front of the emergency exit, as well as 24 A, F and 25 B, C, D, E. The disadvantage of these rows can be called motionless seatbacks, which makes a long flight rather inconvenient.

Seats B, C, D, E row 11 are after emergency exit and are comfortable in that they have more legroom than standard chairs.

12 row seats A, F have a lot of free space in front, due to the lack of seats A, F in the 11th row.

26 row located in the same way as 11 - after the emergency exits and has the same advantages.

Seats at emergency exits are not available to all categories of passengers. Passengers cannot fly on them:

  • with kids;
  • children, unaccompanied by adults;
  • disabled people;
  • foreigners who do not speak Russian or English.

Also, passengers who fly in such places will be read out by the employees of the air carrier additional safety rules. When flying, you can not put things near the seats, they must be stored on the top shelf.

37 row places A, B, C and 38 row - E, F- the last seats in the passenger compartment. They are located in front of the restrooms. Discomfort during the flight will be caused by an unpleasant smell, extraneous sounds and the accumulation of passengers near these places. And also, the back of the seats is completely or partially not movable.

Best Places

  • 1 row - all places;
  • 11 row - B, C, D, E;
  • 26 row - all places.

Worst Places

  • 10 row - all places;
  • 24 row - A, F;
  • 25 row - B, C, D, E;
  • 37 row - A, B, C;
  • 38 row - E, F.

The nose of an airliner is considered the most successful for a flight, since here the noise from the aircraft's engines is less audible and passenger service begins from this part.

The middle part of the aircraft should be chosen by passengers who are seasick and with problems of aerophobia - there is the least chatter and turbulence is felt to a lesser extent.

The tail section of an airliner is considered the most inconvenient. This is due to the narrowing of the cabin, the proximity of bathrooms and the strong noise of the engines. But this part of the cabin is the safest. According to statistics, more passengers who fly in this part of the aircraft survive in air crashes. Also, you can ask the employees of the air carrier for lunch.

Window seats are seats A, F. They are chosen by those passengers who prefer to enjoy the view from the window during the flight, sleep and not get up from the chair, as this will be difficult to do - you will need to disturb two neighbors.

If you prefer to enjoy great views from your window during your flight, you should be aware that emergency exit seats may not have a window. And rows 11 to 19 are located above the wings of the aircraft, which limits the view.

Aisle seats - C, D, you need to choose if you want to move around the cabin a lot during the flight. Here you can stretch your legs. But sitting in these places, it will be difficult to take a normal nap. People passing by may hurt you.

Seats in the middle are B and E. They are considered uncomfortable and are taken out last when there are no other seats. You will have neighbors on both sides.

If you are flying together, you can take a seat in the same row at the aisle and porthole. There is a chance that no one will take the seat in the middle and you will have extra space.

When choosing seats, check out the Ural Airlines cabin map on the airline's official website. This will help you choose places that suit your preferences. Have a successful and comfortable flight with Airbus A321 and Ural Airlines.

The Airbus A321-100 entered service in early 1994 and is currently the largest member of the A320 family. The A321 received an elongated fuselage compared to other models of the series, and at the same time an increased passenger capacity. Aircraft of the A320 family are known for their spacious passenger cabin with spacious niches for hand luggage, large lower deck cargo capacity and wide hatches for loading luggage. Their mass production is located in Hamburg-Finkenwerder (Germany) and Toulouse (France).

A bit of history

The original version of the A321-100 failed to compete with the American Boeing aircraft 757-200, as a result of which, in 1994, the German company DASA, which is part of the consortium Airbus Industry, took the initiative of an improved version of the liner with increased takeoff weight and flight range. The updated version was offered to airlines that operate long-haul flights in the European region, as well as firms that operate non-stop flights linking the east and west coasts of the United States.

A321 in the air

A321-200, due to the refinement of its predecessor, acquired a greater flight range and takeoff weight. The completion of the "hundredth" model was carried out over two years: from 1994 to 1996. This was necessary to compete with Boeing. Thanks to its characteristics and reliability, this aircraft still looks worthy even among younger analogues.

Note! The A321, due to fuel economy and large cabin capacity, has the lowest estimated cost per km per passenger of any other narrow body aircraft, which means that it is cheaper for any traveler to travel each kilometer in the A321 than in other narrow body aircraft.

Despite a fairly long period of time since the start of production of the A321, this model is still being finalized and modernized, adjusting its characteristics to the modern requirements of the aircraft industry. IN this moment the company is actively working on the commissioning of advanced powertrains for the A321. The modernization course is carried out under the name New Engine Option, in the future the liners are planned to be supplied with CFM International LEAP-X and Pratt & Whitney PW1000G engines. An additional 16% of fuel saved can be considered their feature, however, the actual data is usually slightly less than the declared ones, since these values are often somewhat lower when upgrading an existing model. The use of improved engines, according to preliminary calculations, should increase the maximum possible length of the flight by 950 km, and the maximum lifted weight - by 2 tons.

Interesting to know! To increase the flight range and reduce operating costs, special modifications for the wings - sharkle - are installed on the A320 model range as part of the NEO program. Their prototype, winglets, was first used exclusively on Boeing aircraft, starting with the 1985 model 747-400. After careful analysis and refinement of the shape of the winglets, Airbus patented its design under original title sharklets.

Aircraft characteristics

For an optimal assessment and the right choice of the best seats in the cabin of the liner, it is worth knowing in advance how many rows are available on the aircraft and studying the appropriate layout of the vessel that is assigned to the desired flight. However, in order to determine the quality seats almost any liner scheme can be used.

Physical dimensions Airbus cabin A321 can accommodate from 170 passengers in a cabin consisting of two classes, or up to 220 people, subject to the use of seats in one class, which is quite enough for charter and budget flights, in addition, it should be borne in mind that the length of flights of this model can reach 5500 km.

In total, about a dozen different modifications of the Airbus A321 were created, which are designed for flights that differ in duration and the number of seats belonging to different classes. For example, for low-cost or charter flights, the stock equipment will be converted in order to increase cabin capacity, as a result of which the economy class expands to 220 seats. In this configuration, the entire cabin is one class.

Schemes A321

The Airbus A321 cabin layout is especially popular, which the well-known Aeroflot prefers to use.

Scheme 1

1-7 rows. They are places that are classified as business class, but it is worth noting that the first and seventh rows among them provide minimal convenience. This is due to the fact that there is a wall of technical rooms in front of the first row of seats and a restroom cubicle is located literally at your side, and the seventh row borders on a noisy economy class, which can cause inconvenience. Therefore, when choosing seats in the business category, you should choose tickets closer to the center of the class.

8 row. The best places in the budget category, due to the additional free space due to the location of the emergency exit in front of this row. Therefore, they are deservedly called the most comfortable seats of the economy class of all available on the liner of this model, an additional plus will be their placement at the beginning of the cabin, because, as you know, passenger service takes place in the direction from the first rows to the last. This implies a much larger range of food and drinks compared to the rest of the passengers.

9-17 rows. Ordinary places of the budget category, without any differences.

18 row. The places in this row are also referred to as standard, only toilets nearby interfere, as a result of which discomfort may appear due to the constant movement of passengers and crowds of people who want to visit the restroom, which creates unnecessary stress and will not only distract, but possibly annoy.

19 row. In all respects, this row is identical in convenience to the eighth row. There is also free legroom here, but the proximity of the restrooms makes this row much less convenient.

20 row. The places located here should be noted as quite convenient. The attractiveness of this row is due not only to free legroom, but also to the opportunity to enjoy the panoramas of the earth's surface opening outside the windows immediately after departure.

In the 30th row (seats C and D) - all the inconveniences are due to the proximity to the toilet.

31 row. The 31st row in the Airbus deserves special attention: in addition to the unpleasant sensations caused by the close placement of the toilets to the passenger seats, it is also impossible to adjust the tilt of the seat back, since there is a partition behind.

Important! Tickets for this row are bought last, in the absence of other options, as they are considered the most unfortunate places on the plane.

Scheme 2

The next cabin layout for the Airbus A321 is a similar layout - 16 business class seats and 167 economy class seats on board. This class arrangement is the second most popular in Aeroflot, in particular, it is used on the following liners:

  • VP-BJX;
  • VP-BEW;
  • VP-BKI;
  • VP-BAE;
  • VP-BAF;
  • VP-BAY;
  • VP-BJX;
  • VP-BAZ;
  • VP-BFF;
  • VP-BJX;
  • VP-BFQ;
  • VP-BFK;
  • VP-BJX;
  • VP-BFX;
  • VP-BJX;
  • VP-BKQ.

Scheme 3

The third cabin configuration is almost identical to the previous one, but less common - it is used on only 6 Aeroflot aircraft: VP-BAV, VP-BAX, VP-BEG, VP-BES, VP-BEA, VP-BEE.

Scheme 4

The Airbus 321-200 is also operated by such an airline as Nordwind Airlines. It uses a modification with a single-class cabin, which can transport 220 people - such aircraft are often used for short and medium distances and on flights with an average passenger flow.

The same modification is used by the Red Wings company, as well as Ural Airlines. The latter has about 15 Airbus A321 aircraft with this cabin layout. Travelers who often use the services of these airlines should consider in detail the plan of the aircraft and determine the places in the Airbus A 321 where it will be most convenient for the passenger during the flight.

Note! On the official website of Ural Airlines, the scheme of the Airbus 321 aircraft is not very convenient form, - it does not indicate the numbers and letter designations of places, therefore, the features are further considered using the example of the Airbus A321, the scheme of the Nord Wind airline.

Row 1 has both positive and negative sides. There is a wall in front, which makes it a little difficult to adopt a comfortable leg position, but it should also be noted that this is the first row, respectively, there will be no person reclining the seat. The close location of the galley and toilet adds inconvenience to these places, but passenger service begins from here.

9F and 23F row. The seatbacks cannot be adjusted due to the partition located behind them, which causes some discomfort - it is not very convenient to be in an upright position for the entire flight.

10 and 24 A, B, C. The situation is similar to the ninth row, but here it is due to the location of the emergency exit immediately behind the seats.

10 and 24 D, E. The backs of the seats also cannot be lowered, however, these rows contain 2, not 3 seats, which can be considered a plus, especially for those who travel together.

Rows 11 and 25 are considered the most comfortable. They are located right after the emergency exits, which creates free space. Thanks to this, it becomes possible not only to recline the back of your chair, to take a comfortable position of your legs, but also to easily leave your place, practically without causing any discomfort to your companions.

Important! Far from all categories of passengers can be located at these places: tickets will not be sold to the elderly, the disabled, as well as people traveling with children and animals. In addition, it is forbidden to clutter up the passages to the emergency doors, so all luggage will have to be placed at the top - this is due to the safety requirements on the plane.

36 row, places C and D. Location - next to the toilets, which is why small queues form in the vicinity of these places. Often, both the middle and rear saloons use the bathrooms at the end of the saloon, which is quite a large number of human.

37 - the last row. These places are rightfully considered the most inconvenient, due to the blocked backs of the seats, as well as the inconvenience associated with the proximity of the toilet.

In general, the Airbus A321 is a very comfortable aircraft, which is why it is operated by more than a hundred airlines. When choosing seats, you need to follow the general recommendations: first study the layout of the aircraft, do not buy tickets in the tail or next to the technical rooms and do not choose seats that do not recline. If you follow these tips, then even the longest flight will be comfortable and unnoticed.

The Airbus A321 is the largest member of the Airbus narrow-body aircraft lineup. Airbus narrow-body aircraft are grouped into the so-called "A320 Family", which also includes the A318, A319, A320 and the A321 itself. Recall that narrow-body aircraft are called aircraft in which there is only one longitudinal passage between the seats in the middle of the cabin.

The length of the A321 is 44.51 meters, with a full load, the flight range is 5950 km.

This model provides the lowest cost of a 1 km flight per passenger among narrow-body aircraft, in other words, due to low fuel consumption and large passenger capacity, a 1 km flight on the A321 costs one passenger less than on other narrow-body aircraft. The A321 is equipped with new wingtips, which Airbus calls Sharklets. We talked about them in detail in a previous article about the Airbus A320 aircraft. We only note that the new endings improve the aerodynamic characteristics of the wing, reducing fuel consumption and increasing the flight range.

Since 2015, it is planned to introduce new engine versions for the A320 Family. The use of new engines together with wingtips will reduce fuel consumption by up to 15 percent and increase the flight range by an additional 900 km or payload by 2 tons.

In a two-class configuration, the A321 aircraft can accommodate 185, and in a single-class cabin, up to 220 passengers. With the new A321neo, Airbus plans to increase passenger capacity through optimized use of the aircraft cabin. New changes in the layout will increase the number of passenger seats to 240, while still maintaining comfortable seats with a width of 18 inches.

A321, like A320, has 4 doors (two on each side of the fuselage, in the nose and tail sections) and 4 emergency hatches (two on each side of the fuselage, in the middle part). But unlike the A320, the A321's escape hatches are not located side by side, but spaced a long distance away.

Seat plan for Airbus A321 Aeroflot

Business Class.

As you can see in the Aeroflot A321 cabin diagram, the first 7 rows are reserved for business class. There are 4 comfortable chairs in each row - two chairs on each side of the aisle. Although the A321 is a narrow-body aircraft, the cabin design allows for fairly wide seats.

Of the business class seats, special attention should be paid to the first row. Its peculiarity is that there is a partition directly in front of the first row, for some it is a plus, for some it is a minus. You just need to take into account that by choosing the first row you will have to admire the wall for the entire flight. But on the other hand, no one there will recline the back of the chair for you. The first row is a little closer to the toilet, but not so much that it caused some inconvenience.

The last row of the business class also has its own characteristics. Firstly, it is close to the noisier economy class, and secondly, there is a partition directly behind the last row of business class, and your seat may not recline completely.

Economy class

As you can see in the diagram, in the Aeroflot A321 cabin, toilets are located in three places: in the bow for business class, in the middle of the cabin and in the tail for economy class.

8th row. This is the first row of the economy class. The seats in this row are called superior seats and are among the best on the Airbus A321. They are located right after the escape hatches, due to which there is quite a lot of legroom in front of the 8th row seats. You will not interfere with a neighbor (or he you) when you want to get up. A slight disadvantage of these chairs is that the armrests are fixed, as folding tables are mounted in them. This feature is also found in other seats, which are located at a distance from the front row.

However, there are restrictions - in this row it is usually forbidden to sit passengers with children or pets, as well as passengers with handicapped and older passengers. Also, you can't put hand luggage at his feet, so as not to block the path to the emergency exit.

The two extreme places of the 8th row (A and F in the diagram) are also distinguished by the fact that due to the proximity to the emergency exit, it can be a little cold there, in the area of \u200b\u200bthe legs. However, you can always ask the flight attendants for a blanket.

9 - 17 rows. Seats in these rows are common. There are no special features. It works here general rule– the closer to the nose of the aircraft, the earlier food and drinks are served and the richer the assortment will be. The closer to the end of the compartment, the closer to the toilet with all the ensuing consequences.

18th row. Close proximity to the toilet naturally has its drawbacks - queues for the restroom, possible smells, door sounds and water drains. In addition, behind the 18th row there is a wall of the toilet, which does not allow you to recline the back of the seats.

19th row. This is the first row of the second compartment of the economy class. As can be seen on the layout of Aeroflot's A321 cabin, these seats are located near the second pair of emergency hatches. There are only 4 seats in this row, there are no extreme places so as not to interfere with evacuation in case of an emergency. Of course, the advantage of this row is that there is a lot of legroom in front of the seats, but this advantage is easily leveled by proximity to the toilets. The same restrictions apply to the 19th row as to the 8th.

20th row. Locations A and F are very good. There is a lot of free space in front of you, you can safely get up from your seat, stretch your legs. These places are also places of increased comfort. The 4 remaining places of the 20th row are regular places.

21 - 30 rows. These are regular seats, the same as the seats in rows 9-17. There are no special features. The 30th row is close to the toilet, and seats C and D, which are directly at the aisle, are also inconvenient because a queue to the toilet may form next to you.

31st row. This is the last row, it has serious flaws. Not only the proximity to the toilet can spoil your mood, but also the fact that the backs in this row do not recline at all, since there is a wall immediately behind them.

Seat plan for Airbus A321 of S7 airline

The business class in the A321 S7 aircraft has only 2 rows, that is, 8 seats. There is a wall in front of the first row, and the seats in this row have the same characteristics as the seats in the first row of business class A321 of Aeroflot.

There is plenty of legroom in front of the second row. This business class row is preferable, however, you also need to consider that it is close to the noisy economy class.

Economy class.

3rd row. As you can see in the A321 S7 cabin map, this row is located directly behind the partition that separates economy class from business class. The disadvantage of this series is that there is a wall directly in front of you, and you will have to rest your eyes on it for the entire flight. But on the other hand, no one will lean back their seat on you, and your knees will not rest on the seat in front of the seated passenger. There is enough space in front of you, but you will not be able to stretch your legs.

Among the shortcomings, it can also be noted that the folding tables are built into the armrests, which is why they become motionless.

The big advantage of the front rows of economy class is that food and drinks on the plane are served from the nose. This means that passengers sitting in the front rows will have a greater choice of food and drinks, and they will receive meals earlier.

We don't have yet detailed information about the location of seats near the escape hatches, so we will try to give general information and recommendations based on the interior layout of the A321 S7.

Places near emergency hatches. The seats that are located in front of the emergency exit have a drawback - usually the backs of the seats do not recline or recline to a limited extent. The seats that are located after the emergency exit are the luxury seats, as the distance to the front row is quite large, and there is a lot of legroom. You can stretch your legs calmly, get up from your seat without disturbing your neighbor. A slight disadvantage is that the armrests of the chairs are fixed, as the pull-out table is built into the armrests. There are also restrictions for these seats - you can not put hand luggage at your feet, passengers with children or pets, people with disabilities or the elderly cannot sit in these seats. In the chairs located directly it is a bit cold near the escape hatch during the flight, but you can ask the flight attendants for a blanket.

Places near the toilet. Please note that, unlike the Aeroflot Airbus A321, the S7 has toilets only in the nose for business class and in the tail for economy class, that is, there are no toilets in the middle of the cabin. This means that by choosing any seat, except for the seats in the last row, you do not risk flying in the vicinity of the toilet. The last, 35th row is in the immediate vicinity of the toilet with all the ensuing consequences. The flight may be accompanied by the sounds of doors, water drains, smells. Also, in the aisle near you, a queue to the toilet may form. In this sense, two seats in the 34th row on either side of the aisle are also undesirable.

All other places are normal. When choosing a seat, you also need to take into account the rule - the closer to the nose of the aircraft, the faster the food is served, and the richer the assortment of food and drinks.

Seat plan in Airbus A321 of Ural Airlines

There are no business class seats in the cabin of the Ural Airlines A321 aircraft, as can be seen in the diagram, all 220 seats belong to economy class. A feature of the cabin layout of this airline is that the toilets are located only in the bow and tail, that is, unlike Aeroflot, there are no toilets in the middle of the aircraft.

1st row. The first row has both advantages and disadvantages. Firstly, it is close to the kitchen and to the toilet. In addition, usually in such places someone constantly comes, someone leaves, queues for the toilet, and so on. This means that during the flight you will be accompanied by sounds, noise and bustle coming from there.

The disadvantage of the first row is the wall located directly in front of you. Although for some this is even an advantage, because there are no other passengers in front of you, no one will throw back the back of their chair on you, no one bothers you. There is much more knee room than if there were chairs in front of you, which is also an advantage. But on the other hand, the whole flight to look at this wall is probably not very pleasant either, it gives the impression of a closed space. Also note that the folding tables are built into the armrests, which is why the armrests cannot be raised.

2-9 rows. These are ordinary places, they do not have any special features. However, you need to remember that food and drinks on board the aircraft are served from the bow, so the farther you sit from the nose, the later you will receive meals, and the less assortment will be.

10th row. Seats in this row have a disadvantage. The 10th row is located directly in front of the emergency hatches, which is why the backs of the seats do not recline or recline not completely, so as not to block the path to the emergency exit.

11th row. As you can see in the Ural Airlines A321 cabin diagram, there are only 4 seats in this row, that is, there are no two extreme seats so as not to interfere with the emergency exit. These are some of the best places on the plane. Their advantage is that you have more legroom in front of you. You can calmly stretch your legs, get up from your seat without disturbing anyone. If you are traveling together, then you are building to take a closer look at these places, because there is no third chair, but there is also no porthole. Since the distance to the front row is large, the folding tables here are located not in the backs of the front seats, but in the armrests, which is why they do not rise. In these places there are the same restrictions as in the 8th row of the A321 of Aeroflot.

12th row. Extreme places (at the porthole) in this row are very good. There are no seats in front, plenty of space. Very comfortably.

13-24 rows. Seats in these rows are normal.

25th row. The seats in this row are the same as in the 10th row.

26th row. The seats in this row repeat the characteristics of the 11th row, but here all 6 seats are present. However, seats A and F in this row may be slightly slanted due to the proximity to the emergency exit, and one armrest may also be missing. In addition, due to the proximity to the hatches, it can be a little cold here. However, you can ask the flight attendants for a blanket.

27-36 rows. The seats in these rows are ordinary, of course, the closer to the end of the cabin and, accordingly, to the toilets, the worse.

37-38 rows. This worst places on this plane. The proximity to the toilet does not bode well. The flight will be accompanied by the sounds of doors, water draining, possibly smells, etc. And the seats near the aisle in these rows are also bad in that a queue to the restroom may form near you. Of the seats in these rows, seats E and F of the 37th row are more preferable, which do not border the toilet and are not located near the aisle.

Seat map for Airbus A321 Nordwind Airlines

There is no business class.

1st row. The 1st row repeats the characteristics of the 1st row of A321 Uralavia.

2-10 rows. These are common places. However, the seat backs F of the 9th row and the entire 10th row do not recline or recline to a limited extent. This is done for safety reasons, as there are emergency hatches immediately after the 10th row. Despite this, note that there are only two seats to the right of the aisle in the 10th row. If you are traveling as a couple, then these places could be a good choice. But the porthole, of course, is missing.

11th row. These are places of increased comfort, they are located behind the emergency exit. These seats repeat the advantages and disadvantages of the seats of the 8th row of the A321 of the Aeroflot layout, which can be read about above.

12-24 rows. These are common places. 23-24 rows repeat the characteristics of 9-10 rows.

The cabin of an A321 Nordwind airline.

25 row. Seats of superior comfort, they repeat the advantages and disadvantages of the 11th row.

26-36 rows. Here are the usual places. The aisle seats in the 36th row have a drawback - people who want to get to the toilet will accumulate near you.

37 row. Worst seats on this plane. This is the last row, the seats are located right next to the toilets, with all the ensuing consequences, which can be read about above.

Ural Airlines is owned by a company with experience gained over many years of work. The main activity is passenger and cargo air transportation. The aircraft fleet consists of modern and comfortable Airbus aircraft.

During 2017, Ural Airlines purchased an Airbus A321 equipped with sharklet-type wings. This design allows you to increase the flight range and improves aerodynamic characteristics.

It is important to know that the same year was the beginning of a project to upgrade the passenger seats of the entire fleet. Passengers of the airline now travel on comfortable and modern chairs.

Salon scheme

The configuration of the passenger cabin of the Airbus A321 of Ural Airlines is the same for each aircraft. Let's take a closer look at the cabin layout to find out which places will be the best for a pleasant trip.

Plan Airbus aircraft A321 is 220 seats, one class, located in 38 rows. In one row, for the most part, there are six seats placed three on each side of the aisle.

So, let's start from the 1st row, these places are considered good. There are no neighbors ahead who will definitely recline their seat in front of you, which obviously creates some inconvenience. At the same time, there is a little more space here than in other rows due to the small distance between the seats. In addition, in front, as a rule, there is more fresh air, thanks to normal air conditioning, which cannot be said about the last rows.

But there are drawbacks here, there are more seats, because there is a partition in front, and not the passenger seats, if the flight is long, this can cause tension. Not everyone will like the location of the wall, right in front of the face. These places are not suitable for those who are afraid of confined spaces, as such a feeling may appear. The fresher air can also be spoiled by odors coming from the galley or lavatory just behind the partition. The same reason can create noise, rapid movement.

From the 2nd to the 9th row, the places will be the most common. They are not particularly comfortable. The seat back reclines like most. But there is an advantage for those who sit near the porthole. The view overboard will be in full review, which can not be said about the places near the wing.

Attention! On the seats located in front of the emergency exit, the seat backs do not recline or are in a limited position.

There is an explanation for this, they are motionless for security purposes. Since in the case emergency, the exit must be free. Reclined seats will be an obstacle, the elimination of which will have to spend precious time.

Such seats are located on the 10th and 25th rows, the lack of the ability to recline will force you to sit in one position for the entire flight.

There are only two seats in the 11th row, they are ideal for those who travel together. These are places of increased comfort. They are located after the emergency exit. Thanks to this, they have additional space, which will undoubtedly come in handy when you want to stretch your legs and sit comfortably. In addition, the front row seats do not recline. At this point, you can safely get up if you need to get out without disturbing your neighbor.

There are also disadvantages here, one of them is that the folding tables are built into the armrests, because of this they are motionless. For safety reasons, hand luggage is not allowed on the floor. Instead of a window, there is an emergency exit. For this reason, it can be cooler here than in other places.

For security reasons, these places will not be put in:

  • Passengers with small children;
  • pregnant women;
  • Passengers with disabilities.
  • Old people;
  • Passengers with animals.

On the 12th row, seats A and F will also be different extra bed for legs, due to the lack of front seats.

The 26th row has the same advantages as 11, only in this row there are not two, but three seats on each side of the aisle.

In the 37th row, place D is the most inconvenient, because it has an unfortunate location, it is too close to the toilet and the aisle.

Rows 37 and 38 are the worst places. The backs of the seats here do not recline, they rest against the back wall, behind which the toilet is located. In this regard, an unpleasant smell, constant movement of people, will accompany you throughout the flight.

Choosing the best seat in the Airbus A321 Ural Airlines

All the same, there are places that are the most comfortable and have more advantages than disadvantages. Of these, I would like to highlight:

  • All seats in the 1st row;
  • In the 11th row - B, C, D, E;
  • All places are 26 rows.

Bad places: how not to make a mistake

There are places that have an unfortunate location, are not comfortable, it is better not to choose such places, these are:

  • All seats in the 10th row;
  • In the 25th row places: B, C, D, E;
  • In the 37th row: A, B, C, D;
  • Seats E, F in the 38th row.

For technical reasons, the most successful location for the flight will be in the nose of the airliner, since here, the noise from the aircraft engines is the least heard.

The most calm will be the middle part of the cabin, there is not so much chatter and turbulence is less noticeable. For those who have aerophobia issues, seats in the middle will be the most acceptable.

The tail section of the aircraft is considered the most uncomfortable. The salon in the back narrows, because of this, the space is reduced and the bathrooms are located close. Despite all the shortcomings, this part of the cabin is the safest. Statistics show that most of the survivors were in the tail section of the aircraft.

If you want to enjoy the view overboard, you should take seats A and F. But the seats near the windows are popular only during the daytime, since you won’t see anything at night. Although, during takeoff and landing, even at night you can observe beautiful picture burning lanterns of a luminous city. Also, these places are chosen by those who are going to sleep for the entire flight and not get up.

The major Russian carrier Aeroflot is based on 39 Airbuses A321 (data for 2018). Unlike the previous model Airbus A320, medium-haul aircraft of this model have more advanced parameters. The hull length reaches 44.5 m. The maximum flight altitude is 12.1 km, the flight range is 3800 km. Airbus on two turbojet engines is gaining cruising speed within 830 km/h.

Airbuses A321 of Aeroflot make regular and charter flights to domestic and international destinations. When planning a flight on a liner of this model, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the cabin layout in advance, which will allow you to choose the most best places for a comfortable air travel in the chosen direction.

In the article we will talk about the Airbus 321 of Aeroflot, where the plane flies, show the cabin plan and where it is better to sit in economy and business class.

Description of the Airbus A321 Aeroflot

Aeroflot operates two types of Airbuses A321, distinguished by the number of rows in the cabin and seats for passengers.

Model 16C is designed to carry 185 people: 169 in economy class and 16 seats in business class.

Model 28C is equipped with 220 passenger seats, 28 of which are in the business class cabin.

Each Airbus A321 has three separate cabins: one business class and two economy.

Each salon is equipped with comfortable chairs with chargers for gadgets. Like other airliners, the Airbus A321 has the most comfortable and uncomfortable places for the flight. To choose the appropriate option, we suggest that you familiarize yourself with the interior diagrams of two A321 models.

Salon scheme

The most convenient seats in the Airbus

The selection of the best seats on the plane is determined by the following parameters: good view from the window, extended legroom, far location from the toilet room, etc. It is impossible to collect all the best qualities in one row, so passengers have to decide on one, the most important selection criterion for themselves.

Undoubtedly, the most comfortable seats and conditions are created in the business class. It is dominated by a cozy interior, expanded space between chairs and rows. No queues for the restroom. Flight attendants offer an individual menu to choose from and other services provided by the tariff plan.

Travelers planning to fly in the cabin can also pick up comfortable spot for location during the flight. In Airbus 321 from Aeroflot, such seats are still available when buying a ticket.

In order to choose the most comfortable seats in an aircraft of this model, we suggest that you familiarize yourself with the advantages and disadvantages of passenger seats in the cabin of an Airbus with a capacity for 220 passengers.

Economy class

The first economy class cabin occupies rows 8-18. It is located in the central part of the liner. There is less motion sickness and less turbulence. The main disadvantage of the location of the first economy salon is the lack of beautiful view from the windows, which is due to the location of the wings of the aircraft.

From 19 to 31 row - the second economy class salon. It is located in the tail section of the aircraft, so the engine noise is heard more here. But on the other hand, panoramic views open from every window. settlements and clouds.

The most comfortable and uncomfortable seats in economy class:

  1. 8 row - emergency exit seats with extended legroom. From this part of the cabin, flight attendants begin to deliver drinks and dishes from the menu, so passengers occupying these seats always have a good choice. According to the carrier's rules, passengers with small children, minors, pregnant women, the disabled and the elderly cannot take seats at emergency exits. You can familiarize yourself with the rules for flying with an infant at Aeroflot.
  2. 9-17 row - standard places without any special advantages and disadvantages, with the exception of the absence good review from the windows, hidden by the wings of the aircraft.
  3. 18 row - the last seats in the first economy class cabin. Immediately behind them is a toilet room, which is not very convenient for a flight in calm conditions.
  4. Row 19 is located near the emergency exit. There is extended legroom. The disadvantage is the proximity to the toilet.
  5. The 20th row, in particular the chairs near the windows, are very convenient for location. There are no other seats ahead, so passengers can freely assume a comfortable body position during the flight.
  6. 31 row - the last in the cabin, a very uncomfortable option. Disadvantages: close proximity to the bathroom and utility room, the reclining mechanism is blocked on the chairs.

In the Airbus of the second layout (A16), the business class occupies the first four rows, and from 8 to 35 - two economy class cabins.

Convenient and uncomfortable seats in the economy cabin:

  • on the 8th row - extended legroom, there is a mechanism for fixing baby cradles;
  • 11 and 23 row - comfortable places at the emergency exit with extended space for convenient location;
  • 22 and 35 rows - the chairs do not have a folding mechanism, there is a toilet behind the seats.

Business Class

In the Airbus A321 "16 s", the first four rows are the salon. In the liner with the layout "28 s" - 1-7 row business class.

Armchairs are arranged in two rows in pairs (2x2). All seats in this cabin are comfortable, have an extended seat and a large space between the front seats.

The chairs on the first row are a little uncomfortable, due to the proximity to the toilet room. There are also disadvantages of the last row seats in the business class, behind which there is a partition that separates the economy class, where a noisy atmosphere often prevails.

Do not ignore the recommendations of experienced travelers about the need to book the best seats on the Aeroflot Airbus A321 at the stage of buying tickets. The level of comfort during the flight, which ensures a good mood and a good rest, will depend on the seat chosen in the cabin of the aircraft!
