What can I say about the hotel. We already visited it two years ago, in early June, when the holiday season had not yet begun and the hotel was practically empty. My review back then was overwhelmingly positive. Therefore, we decided to visit it again. And they were extremely disappointed. For twothe hotel was badly dilapidated. All the same old furniture in the rooms, the lamp TV - which whistles intolerably, the smell in the corridors - horror. But the biggest disappointment is the canteen. The stuffiness is terrible. To my question to the hotel director - why is it so stuffy - she replied that the waiters do not know how to open the windows. When I asked the waiter himself, he said that you can open two, the rest of the hinges are broken. Apparently they hadn't heard of condos or fans. Buffet very meager. If you do not have time to arrive at the beginning of breakfast / dinner, you may not really get anything. There are not enough tables in the dining room, for 44 rooms there are 13 tables in the canteen and 7 on the street, where it is extremely inconvenient to take out food. When the hotel is full, there is excitement in the canteen. People start arriving in advance, at 17-45, despite the fact that dinner time is from 18 to 20. But after 19 hours there is absolutely nothing to eat. The dishes are dirty. Appliances too. The cups are cloudy and feel like they are being lightly rinsed with water. The waiters are very young guys, they can't do anything, kids. They try, of course, but they don't always succeed. Tired, angry. There is practically no animation. There is a woman, an animator, who spends something with the children, but if the kids are interested, then the older children do not even look in her direction. Those who are older are sitting in the lobby of the hotel on Wi-Fi)). There is a huge non-fenced area next to the parking lot, why not equip a mini-football field there, or put tables for table tennis - I don't understand. On the playground there are two killed simulators: a bicycle and some other one (for all muscle groups), but some of them are killed. There is a bar (by the pool) on site, but it is almost always closed. We tried to buy something there a couple of times, but the barmaid did not know the prices, she said come back tomorrow). In the evening, generally melancholy. I don’t understand why it’s impossible to do, for example, a mini-disco in the evening, from 8 to 9, and then for an hour of disco for adults, open a bar, make cocktails, do a mini-tasting, and the guests would tighten up. The feeling is that the owners do not want to do anything, the price tag for the room is quite weighty, and the service is so-so. The best thing you get in this hotel is sea and mountain views and 24/7 hot and cold water supply, oh yeah - a swimming pool. On the bar there is always a creeping line, the number, time, day of the week, and the temperature of the water in the pool. So the water temperature is always 21), in fact it is not. In the pool itself there is a thermometer on a string, that's the whole truth. At the time of our visit, it warmed up to 25 degrees. The pool is well looked after and is clean, nice and pleasant. But the sunbeds are dirty. Apparently they are rarely washed. Part of the area near the dining room is beautiful, with roses, junipers, and a great view. Summarizing all of the above, I will say the following: the hotel is slowly bending over. And it is absolutely not worth the money that is asked for it.…

Genoese fortress. A monument of medieval architecture of world importance, the only Genoese citadel that has survived in the Crimea. Built by the Genoese between 1371 and 1469. The fortress is located on an ancient coral reef, which is a cone-shaped mountain, near the Sudak Bay of the Black Sea. It is located on a cone-shaped mountain of an ancient coral reef. From the east and south the citadel is impregnable, from the west it is inaccessible, from the north-east the access is blocked by a deep ditch. The fortress has two tiers of defense. The upper tier consists of the Consular Castle and towers connected by a wall, as well as a complex of the Watchtower at the very top.

Lutheran Church. A monument of German culture and architecture on the Crimean lands, built in 1887 for German colonists who came at the invitation of Catherine II. Cape Meganom. Cape Meganom is located between Sudak and Koktebel. It is a long rock with a military unit on top. Access here in Soviet time without permission was prohibited. Nature pleases with the presence of a one and a half kilometer beach area and the purest water... Cape Meganom is in high esteem among scuba divers - clear water allows you to see all the splendor of underwater landscapes. It is at Cape Meganom that spearfishing competitions usually take place. Parapsychologists, yogis, ufologists, and religious organizations conduct their trainings here.
Knight's Festival "Genoese Helmet" held annually on the territory of the Sudak Fortress. The festival is attended by over 500 knights - members of clubs who are engaged in the historical reconstruction of not only medieval armor, but also medieval military art, as well as professional actors and stuntmen. Before checking in, I was looking for the most suitable hotel for a long time, I wanted to spend the rest as interesting and exciting as possible. The administrator of the "Grand" hotel greeted us very kindly and kindly, quickly checked into the room, showed us the restaurant and answered all the numerous questions. You can eat right on the territory of the hotel in a wonderful restaurant, the food is very tasty, everyone will find for themselves on the menu what they like. I love meat, and my girlfriend is seafood, that's how we all week and experimented with dishes. The service can be compared to Turkish, very comfortable. The room has everything you need, spacious and comfortable at the same time. Very clean and tidy, the staff does their job well and you can contact them for any questions. Rest assured, they will definitely not refuse you and help you cope with any problem. Swimming in the evenings has become a kind of hobby for us, we were satisfied with the rest and time spent at the Grand Hotel. It is worth adding one teaspoon of tar to the barrel of honey: there was a constant noise from the nearby cafe-bar, especially after ten in the evening. On the other hand, all people rest in different ways, and everyone has the right to make a little noise. We will definitely want to visit the Grand Hotel again next year.
In 2016, we visited the Crimean Sudak for the first time. We were convinced of how different the nature is in the Crimea. Previously, we rested in Evpatoria, albeit for a long time. Everything is different here. A strip of the city beach between the Genoese Fortress and Mount Alchak, which offers breathtaking views of the city and its surroundings. Small compared to Evpatoria, but very cozy, southern city.
We chose the Grand Hotel. Liked how appearance buildings, infrastructure hotel complex, the numbers in the photo, and the services offered: transfer from the airport (after five hours of flight it is extremely reluctant to fight the taxi drivers), buffet breakfast, included in the price. Everything seen, ordered and agreed to correspond to reality, which could not but rejoice. Then there was an exciting meeting with the Black Sea, the smell of which beckons and then calls to repeat the escape from everyday life.
The hotel is well located. Appreciated later, wandering around the city, talking with vacationers from other hotels. It was possible to order for the same money much worse options for a temporary, but important for every vacationer home. Near the beach, attractions, entertainment. The children were delighted with the water park, we are ancient fortress... I liked everything: the city of Sudak, the Grand Hotel, our Crimea.

The city was built in the third century. The population is small by standards " big land"- about 17 thousand inhabitants, but this is a full-fledged city with all the infrastructure. Getting around it on foot is rather tedious. The Genoese fortress has been perfectly preserved (it was built in the Middle Ages, when the city was owned by sailors-merchants from present-day Italy), which occupies quite a large area. Locals in their own way they call it Sudak. On the other side of the city, there is an entrance to a mountain trail leading to the Alchak nature reserve on the cape of the same name, which is also worth a visit. Between Cape Alchak and the Genoese fortress, there is a beach with an embankment - about 3 km.
A wide promenade with benches where you can find a shady place to relax while walking. A beautiful wrought-iron fence with original lanterns, clubs full of southern plants - all this attracts a walk here. Dine comfortably at the countless cafes along the Cypress Alley leading from the center to the sea.
This year we stayed at the private hotel "Grand" on Fireinaya Gora, not far from the sea. An excellent hotel, reasonable prices. We liked. The best choice in three years. Perhaps next summer, pah-pah do not jinx it, we will come here.
You always want to go to the resort and get into best season when the sea is warm, the sun does not cloud with rain. For more than ten years, the answer has been clear for my family: such a place is the city of Sudak in Crimea, the time is summer. As forecasters say, the driest place of Crimea is nearby - the peninsula, Cape Meganom. Rains are rare here, which can be ignored.
In the summer of 2016, a place was specified - the private hotel "Grand", located on the Fireina Mountain, closer to the Black Sea. Earlier, despite the love for Sudak, it was somehow impossible to find a hotel suitable for our family. One thing is wrong, then another ... But let's not talk about sad things.
The hotel is a little over 10 years old (although you can't tell). Consists of two four-storey buildings with a large complex-shaped swimming pool inside the territory, which is convenient for everyone who likes to plunge into the water immediately after leaving the room. The beach is also nearby, so there is a choice for every taste. You can eat in the hotel's restaurant or in the many cafes nearby.
I was glad that during the entire stay, hot, cold water was never turned off. And this is a rarity for Sudak. But, undoubtedly, pleasant. The impressions of the hotel and the staff were the warmest. We will try to come back here next year.
We arrived in Crimea in May, in the city of Sudak. We stayed at the Grand Sudak hotel and paid 14 thousand rubles for 10 days. Apparently, we were out of luck, the weather was extremely cold for May. (+11, +15). The whole vacation we just walked along the beach, enjoyed the sound of the waves, went to look at the fortress, very picturesque landscapes in the Crimea: beautiful fields and mountains. Since it was not quite the season, there was no evening or night program, we just slept in the room. The sea is clean, but the beach itself is so-so, very strange, because it should be the other way around, since there are 3 cripples on the beach. Naturally, we didn't want to leave without swimming in the sea and we took a chance. Well, at least they didn't get sick))
