Belarus Lake Naroch rest. lake naroch

- for its colossal size, the people received the name "Belarusian Sea".

I love you, Narach, floods and tones,
As the evening thick fogs hang.
Qi snow foam in praises ring out,
Tsaluyuchy dawns, kalyshuchy month.
Maxim Tank.

About 40 lakes are concentrated on the territory of the Naroch National Park. The largest of them - Lake Naroch - waned the glory of the "Belarusian Sea".

This is not just another large body of water in Belarus. This " business card"country, the fame of which has long crossed the borders of Belarus. This beautiful place for recreation, fishing and hunting. And in recent years, there has been a trend on the shores of this lake: unequipped beaches are “occupied” for recreation. locals yes, Belarusian tourists, but the equipped part of the lake is occupied and rested there by foreign tourists, mostly, of course, Russians.

This reservoir is so huge that in cloudy weather it is impossible to see the opposite shore beyond the horizon line. Lake Naroch was formed several millennia ago when a retreating glacier collided with the Sventsyanskaya moraine ridge, melted and created a huge body of water, which was divided into a number of smaller reservoirs.

Most large lake Belarus, its area is 79.6 km 2. It is part of the Naroch Lakes group and is the most popular lake in the Myadel region. The depth of the lake is not very outstanding - an average of 8.9 meters, however, in the region of the Gatovskie pits, the maximum depth reaches 25 meters.

On the Photo shores Lake Naroch .

It occupies one of the first places among the lakes of Belarus in terms of transparency and purity of water. In summer, the transparency of the water allows you to see up to 5-7 meters deep into the water, and in winter - up to 10 meters. The water in Naroch is rich in oxygen and saturated with minerals (at least 200 mg/l).

However, the purity of the lake and its transparency (usually transparent lakes have a low food value) are not a hindrance to fishing. There are 25 species of fish in the waters of the lake. So fishing on Naroch will also leave a lot of pleasant emotions.

The water in the lake is very clean, which creates conditions for the cultivation of salmon fish. Back in the 19th century, the fish stocks of Lake Naroch saved people from death: during the lean years, the inhabitants of the Vilna province starved, and the population of coastal villages collected whole cartloads of bleak.

Today, 25 species of fish can become fisherman's trophies: eel, tench, pike, bream, Amur carp, perch, etc.

There is no shortage of not only fish, but also birds on the lake. The mute swan, little tern and little grebe, rare for Belarus, nest here.

Amateur hunting and fishing on Lake Naroch are paid, vouchers are sold in the administration building national park"Narochinsky". Hunters usually manage to shoot black grouse or capercaillie, the luckier ones take with them the antlers of elk, deer, roe deer, wild boar.

For tourists vacationing in the sanatoriums of Naroch, excursions to the reserve " Blue Lakes”, to the village of Budslav, famous for the old, and the village of Mosar with a magnificent arboretum and.

Read the legends of Lake Naroch in Belarusian: There are many magical and mysterious places on earth, but the land of lakes, forests and swamps is an inspiration, a fairy tale. Without legends and fairy tales born by the people of the Naroch region, the story about him will not be complete. Only a few legends have been preserved about Lake Naroch itself. The sad legend of the emergence of Lake Naroch. 1. The legend about tr. . .

On the Photo sunset over Lake Naroch.

17 streams carry their waters to Lake Naroch, as well as the short channel Skema, which connects Naroch with Lake Myastro. The river of the same name flows from Naroch. Lake Naroch is divided into two stretches (Small and Large) by the Nanosy Peninsula. Not far from the north-eastern part of the coast there is an island with an area of 6.2 hectares, declared a natural monument. One fifth of Lake Naroch has been overgrown, about 3% of the area is covered with thickets, but this does not interfere with recreation at all.

On the lake you can find a huge number waterfowl. On the one hand, this is an opportunity for tourists to see rare birds listed in the Red Book, and on the other hand, it is an alarm for those who like to swim. The fact is that birds infect the waters of the lake with cercariasis. Therefore, you can swim in Naroch only from the pier, but getting your feet wet near the shore, where birds swim, is strictly prohibited.

Lake Naroch is and historical place. As part of the First World War in 1916, the famous Naroch offensive operation took place on the shores of the lake - the first successful attempt to liberate Belarus from the invaders. And in 1935-1939, Lake Naroch was the subject of a fishermen's strike against the agrarian and tax policies of the Polish authorities.

Rest on Lake Naroch.

As a place to stay in Belarus, Naroch is an excellent point. After all, Naroch is the most popular balneological and climatic resort in Belarus, located within the National Park "Narochansky".

On its banks are located both sanatoriums and health resorts (for example, the sanatorium "Naroch", "Priozerny", etc.), and estates ("Antonisberg Guest House and Camping", "Narochansky Kutok", "Narochansky Corner", etc.).

Everyone will find a rest to their liking on the shores of the beautiful Lake Naroch! In the hottest weather, a cool and pleasant breeze from the lake cools the air.

The clear water of the lake and the greenery on its shores are pleasing to the eye and evoke thoughts that a vacation in Belarus cannot be considered complete if you have not been to Lake Naroch.

The term kulgrynda came to us from ancient times, when our territory was inhabited by the Baltic tribes. Kulgrynda - a paved road through a reservoir (lake, swamp or river). As a rule, such a road had a winding shape and was laid under water for safety purposes, it could lead to a city or some kind of shrine.

The base of the kulgrynda was built from large stones with a diameter of 50-80 cm, stumps and tree trunks placed in the water, or it was a complex structure of pine logs laid across, on which sand was poured from above. The upper layer was made up of neatly stacked stones with a diameter of 10-20 cm. On the sides, the kulgryndy were reinforced with pine or stone wedges, and, with the help of special grooves, they were protected from drifting with silt.

There is such a road on Lake Naroch. In the people it is called Devil's rowing. Naroch kulgrynda is located at a depth of a little more than a meter from the surface of the water and rises at a height of about one and a half meters from the bottom of the lake. The length of Chetrova rowing is about a kilometer, and its width allowed a wagon drawn by four horses to pass.

There are also coolgrynds on Lake Svityaz and may have been on the lake in Myadel.

Lake Naroch can be called one of the most promoted resorts in our country. Probably, there is no Belarusian who would not know about him. Another question is whether everyone has been there at least once. Someone had a rest in the Soviet years and now remembers this time with nostalgia, someone went hiking with tents, and for someone even now the Naroch nature replaces the foreign coast. What can be seen today on Naroch, how much it costs to relax there and why Russians return to Naroch health resorts several times.

Very often Belarusians have a rest anywhere, but not at home. Meanwhile, in recent years, many worthy tourist sites have appeared in Belarus, more and more people are trying to open our history to tourists and show the most beautiful corners country. We decided to travel around the famous Belarusian resorts in a few weeks and see how they can attract tourists today. Today in the project "Vacation at home" - Naroch.

I visited Naroch for the first time 17 years ago with my parents. Then we lived in a tent at one of the tourist camps and it seemed that there was nothing better than lard fried on a fire, pickles and an endless lake with pine trees on the shore. Then we went to Naroch more than once just for the weekend. What to hide, more than once I was here for work. And now I was looking forward to a business trip.

From Minsk to the resort village of Naroch about 140 kilometers. It's about two hours by car. And perhaps this is the most the best way to get there: you can even load a bicycle into a car and then ride it around the area, it is convenient to drive a car from one vacation spot to another.

The resort village is a little stretched along the lake. At first glance, even here in tourist place, nothing can disturb the measured life of the Belarusian province. It seems that little has changed in recent years. One of the most notable innovations is a large retail chain store right in the city center and a pizzeria.

For the rest, time seems to have stopped: they sell kvass from a barrel, which was brought from neighboring Vileika, with Scandinavian sticks and in a Soviet-style tracksuit, grandfather walks briskly, two elderly women in hats with a brim are sitting on a bench. The view looks like it was taken from a 30-year-old photograph. But there is something romantic and kind in it all.

Surrounded by low rise buildings. There are several bank branches, a hotel, a restaurant and a cafe "Belarusian Khatka". In the cafe, by the way, the food is quite good, a lot of dishes national cuisine, and prices are lower compared to Minsk. A lunch of cabbage salad, borscht, potato pancakes with sausage in a pot and tea costs 11 rubles and a few kopecks.

In the center is a stand: handwritten ads offer rooms for tourists (25 rubles a day for each), there is also a house for sale - 80 square meters, 200 meters from the lake for 52 thousand rubles. Another announcement announces that on June 1 the holiday season was opened here.

One of the places of attraction is the city beach. Despite the June heat, there are almost no people, no one bathes. They say that the water is still cold, the sand is damp. It’s really more convenient on the grass - four people sunbathe here.

All the tourists we approach are from Russia. Some came from the Moscow region, others from Tula, the third married couple from Murmansk. On the beach they explain that on the weekend the people will be full, now many are at work.

A family from the Moscow region comes to Naroch in the sanatorium "Priozerny" for the second time. They say that they all love it here. Moreover, we recommended this place to friends and they have already been here too.

- Many in Moscow ask where you are going, and when they find out that you are in Belarus, they joke: “Did they dig up the sea there?” But it’s not necessary to relax on the sea, you can come to other wonderful places, - says Ilya Bely.

“When we first came here five years ago, we were amazed. I look at the lake and ask: “What is this, the sea? Waves - and the edges are not visible! his wife recalls Natalia.

Ilya explains that he comes to Naroch for silence, to forget about the fuss, phone calls and the Internet. And he succeeds.

Where is the best place to swim?

Lake Naroch is located on the territory of the National Park "Narochansky", it is located in the Belarusian Lakeland, in total there are 43 lakes on its territory.

Here the hills give way to plains, the views are magnificent - places for a selfie at every turn. There are at least 25-30 such observation points for photo shoots in the national park, and nature lovers will find even more.

Map of the National Park "Narochansky"

Valery Lyushtyk, deputy general director of the Narochansky National Park, says that among the lakes in the Myadel region, Naroch, Beloe, Myastro and Rudakovo are best suited for swimming and recreation.

Valery Lyushtyk, Deputy General Director of the National Park "Narochansky"

Rudakovo is very deep lake there is practically no shallow water. The depth of Rudakovo is a little more than 28 meters, Naroch - about 25 meters. But Beloe pleases the eye with a sandy bottom. The lake is very suitable for families with children: there is shallow water and for hundreds of meters - knee-deep water. In Naroch and Myastro, the water is also clear and smooth entry from the beach.

“Feet on the lake go more slowly when you look at the beauty of clear water,” says Valery Lyushtyk. - In summer, the transparency near Naroch is seven meters, in winter - up to 11 meters. Hydrobiologists say that from a scientific point of view, this is not very good. About 40-50 years ago, transparency was also in winter - six to eight meters, and this meant that the lake was functioning well. And when the transparency increased to 11 meters, the balance of the lake was disturbed. But for vacationers - it's great, the water is super clear.

It turns out that Lake Naroch has become more transparent due to the mussel shells. She was somehow brought to us, and she began to actively multiply. As a result, over the past 20 years, there have been a lot of this zebra mussel in Naroch.

This shell is small, but there are billions of it. She passes water through herself, this is her food, filters it, and the water comes out even cleaner than it went into the shell. The water in the lake became more transparent, the sun's rays began to penetrate much deeper - and this affected the underwater vegetation.

On lakes Beloe and Rudakovo there is no risk of catching cercariasis, on Naroch and Myastro it still exists. It can appear when the water in the lake warms up to 22-23 degrees. At this time, larvae from the feces of duck-like birds can migrate to mollusks, and from mollusks back to ducks. True, along the way they can meet a person. There is nothing extremely dangerous in this, but if after bathing you do not wash yourself with water from the shower on the beach and do not dry yourself with a towel, then some people may experience itchy redness on their skin.

Lake Beloe

The number of cases of cercariasis has been reduced due to the fact that plastic platforms extend from the beaches to a greater depth of the lake. On them you can go into the water and swim where there is less chance of catching a larva from the bird's feces. In addition, mollusks are periodically caught in the lakes. The fewer of them, the fewer larvae.

- If you take medical statistics, when people came to the doctors, then in 2006-2007 there were more than 600 cases of allergic dermatitis. Last year there was one. We understand that a certain number of people do not go to the doctor because it does not bother them very much. Ointments are sold in pharmacies, everything goes away in two or three days. But objectively, the cases still became much less.

How much does a stay in a health resort cost?

Naroch is considered the area of concentration of Belarusian health resorts. There are about ten of them, including sanatoriums for children. One of the most modern is considered the sanatorium of the Presidential Administration "Priozerny". At the same time, 460 people can rest here, the average load in the sanatorium during the year is 85%, in summer it is naturally higher, and sometimes even more than 100% if adults come with children.

40% of the guests of the sanatorium are Belarusians, the rest are foreigners, most of them are Russians. Head of marketing department of the sanatorium Sergey Nekhvyadovich says that in Lately often began to come from Latvia and Estonia. Our prices have become lower than in Lithuanian sanatoriums, where residents of these countries used to go.

— The Druskininkai health resorts in Lithuania are now more expensive than ours. Previously, our prices were about the same, but now they are targeting the reception of Israelis and prices have increased. People from Israel also come to us, but flights to Lithuania are cheaper, so there is more flow there.

Now the season is high in the resort, which means that prices are higher than in November-March. The most expensive option with treatment and three meals a day according to the buffet system costs 113 rubles per person per day. This is if a person lives in a two-room apartment with a terrace with one of the relatives or in a separate house on the territory of the sanatorium. The cheapest option is 85 rubles per day with the same three meals a day and treatment. It's in a double room. If a person wants to live in such a room alone, then a day will cost 99 rubles.

For comparison: in Druskininkai in the Egle sanatorium, the cost of a place in a double room for a treatment program starts in June from 52 euros (about 123 Belarusian rubles).

- Vouchers for the summer have already been bought, places appear only if someone refuses. Guests themselves choose a therapeutic package or a spa option. People of active age take the SPA with massages and other relaxing and anti-stress procedures. Some people just come for the weekend. As a rule, a full-fledged treatment in a sanatorium lasts 18 days, but most of the vouchers sold with us are for 12 days. This is the minimum possible period to get a healing effect, says Sergey Nekhvyadovich.

There is a wax room in the spa complex of the sanatorium. Its walls are impregnated with beeswax, at the entrance there is honey in a frame. This is a variant of aromatherapy where people sit and inhale the vapors of the wax. Here they are very proud of the room, they say that, according to their information, there is a similar one in one of the Crimean sanatoriums and in a private owner in Switzerland.

sand room

Bed with amber beads for relaxation.

There is also a sand room here. After swimming in the pool mineral water you can lie on the warm sand, as if on the sea. Additionally, Himalayan salt was applied to one of the walls of the room, which should also have a beneficial effect on the body.

After all these procedures and massages, the vacationer can relax in a special room with subdued light in an armchair with amber beads, drink herbal tea. Near the sanatorium there is a platform for natural inhalations. You sit on a bench and look at a high wall of birch branches, along which flows mineral water. Vapors go into the air and saturate the lungs.

How tourists are received in an authentic village

When you drive up to the Nanosy-Novoselye agro-tourist complex, on the banks of the Naroch, it seems that you find yourself in a village of the middle of the 19th century. An excursion for children from Syria, who came to rest in Zubrenok, has just ended here. And the guide, who was their guide to the complex, comes up to us. Viktor Moiseyonok works as the head of museums, and he is also a rare specialist in antiques. Approximately seven years ago, he came here from Glubokoe to build a complex, and he stayed like that: he bought an apartment in a resort village, moved his wife. In a word, I left for a dream.

Victor Moiseyonok, head of museums, specialist in antiques of the agro-tourist complex "Nanosy-Novoselye"

We come to a communal house built in the style of the middle of the 19th century - this is exactly what the dwelling of the peasants of that time looked like. The house has a recreated interior, but adapted to the modern tourist. For four people living in it with three meals a day and visiting all the excursions of the complex, you need to pay 480 rubles per day. The house has a bathhouse with a font, food is cooked here based on the preferences of the tourist: they accept vegans, adapt to Arabic cuisine. Each house has a hostess who cooks and cleans. Near the house there is a chicken coop, where in the morning you can collect fresh eggs, from which you will prepare an omelet.

Resting here, you seem to be traveling in time: you try on the life of a peasant, you can go to the museum of rural life and see objects of that time, look at the world's largest collection of samovars. For you, they can organize a horse show and a master class in baking bread. By the way, it is baked from flour, which is ground right on the spot using a water mill. It also had to be built according to the drawings of that time.

There is another accommodation option in the complex - a petty-bourgeois house. It is almost twice as expensive - 985 rubles per day. But six people can live in it and there are more exclusive interiors.

“The complex is very popular: on weekends everything is packed, on weekdays it is freer,” says Viktor Moiseyonok. - 50% of our tourists are Belarusians, and the remaining 50% are from all over the world. We are known in France, Germany, people from Goa have a rest and the UAE, who is not here.

The complex was built for three years, and it has been operating for a little over four. Investor Yevgeny Novoseletsky invested in it. at the beginning of this year.

— How did the idea of building the complex come about? We ask Victor.

- Can you tell me honestly? Here, in a tent on the spit on Naroch, Zhenya's mother and father loved to relax. Therefore, he always had a special attitude to this place. He once bought a dacha here, then built a new house, and then on this site, where there used to be a wasteland overgrown with bushes, he set about building such a complex. And built.

The cheapest accommodation options on Naroch

On Naroch, you can also find quite budget options for spending the night. In homesteads, prices start at about 20 rubles per person, if the room does not have a separate shower and toilet, and several people, for example two, will live in the room.

In the village of Gatovichi, which is near Naroch and Bely Lake, there is a manor, which is called “Gatovichi”. House owner's wife Elena Krivenkaya says that they started accepting tourists 12 years ago - they rent guest houses. 20-24 rubles per day per person, depending on whether the house has a shower and toilet. In general, if the estate comfortable conditions accommodation, then in the Naroch area they charge 40-50 rubles per person per day.

— After the events in Crimea there were a lot of tourists. Then everyone rushed here, and it was profitable for two or three years, but now incomes have fallen by half. The solvency of Belarusians and Russians has decreased, and there are fewer tourists. If earlier people allowed themselves to rest twice a year, now it is already once.

There are 15 tourist camps in the Narochansky National Park. And according to Valery Lyushtyk, it is rest in the parking lot that corresponds to the essence of outdoor recreation. When you live not within four walls, but actually in the forest, you hear the birds singing, you breathe fresh air.

At one of these camps, "Antonisberg", we met a group of geography students from Gomel. They came here to practice - they study the lakes. They live in tents.

Stopping at the parking lot in the national park costs four to six rubles per person per day. It doesn't get cheaper.

Parking at Lake Beloe

There is another budget place on the shore of the lake - camping "Naroch" with a small hotel in the middle of the forest. One-room double room with a third extra bed the whole will cost 120 rubles per day. This price includes three breakfasts. True, now the hotel is almost completely booked by the builders of the BelNPP, who came on a business trip from Russia.

The campsite has a residential module, these are double, quadruple rooms with washbasins and a shared toilet, a place there costs 17 rubles per person per day. And if you came by camper, then you will have to pay 20 rubles for its parking on an equipped site, and for each person another 2 rubles 55 kopecks per day. Just staying at a campsite with a tent and using firewood and a fireplace costs 9.55 rubles per person per day.

Things to do?

Not far from Lake Beloye there is the only complex in Belarus where medicinal herbs are grown and excursions for tourists are organized. Aptekarsky Sad opened five years ago.

“People come here to look at medicinal plants, take a walk, listen to our guides, try some of the herbs on the spot and look at industrial cultivation,” says Alexander Rogach, founder of the project and commercial director of the BelAseptika company, which grows herbs.

Founder of Aptekarsky Sad and commercial director Alexander Rogach

There are 300 species of plants growing in the garden, which came to us from different corners peace. V landscape design gardens used the principle of gardens in monasteries: strictly defined paths, a pond in the center, a green labyrinth of bushes.

“Our labyrinth is a bit mystical, because in the center of it there is a sculpture of Baba Yaga, who hid magical jugs in secret corners,” says the guide Anna Kazakevich and offers to find a jug and make a wish. I found him, I made a wish, but I couldn’t find my way back in the labyrinth. This means that the probability of fulfilling a desire is 50%. But I hope Baba Yaga will take pity on me and fulfill my desire - we are in a mystical labyrinth.

During the tour, phytotherapy is carried out - they rub the herbs with their fingers and try the aromas of different plants. Having sniffed several types of mint, I already felt that all the stress of the city had been removed as if by hand. Not only the familiar lavender, sage and sakura grow here, but also the amazing hyssop officinalis and the gingo biloba tree.

Here, if desired, you can go through one unusual ritual near the driftwood, which concentrates sexual energy.

- Our ancestors endowed everything unusual in nature with an unusual property. When we saw this snag, we realized that it was not just here and, for sure, had some purpose. And when we saw its shape, we realized that it is aimed at the intimate sphere of human life. Everything in the culture of any nation is aimed at procreation. This is the most valuable thing a person had. And this snag concentrates our sexual energy. It is necessary to carry out a certain ritual: the strength of the snag is doubled, or even tripled, if a married couple goes through this ritual when they join hands, closing the circle. The ritual looks like this: you need to take a pine cone, and it was one of the erotic symbols of Belarusians. The cone is placed on the surface of the driftwood and covered with the palm of your hand, then you need to think about what you like in the intimate sphere, take the cone with you and wear it until your innermost desire is fulfilled.

Snag that concentrates sexual energy

At the end of the tour there is a tasting of herbal teas and local pancakes. They say that for the sake of these pancakes, some even come from Minsk.

A tour for an adult in the Aptekarsky Garden costs ten rubles, entrance without a tour costs five rubles.

There is a dendro garden nearby. There are more than 400 species and species of trees and shrubs. As told at the box office, during the season, the revenue per day reaches 200 rubles, and one ticket for an adult costs four rubles.

The conclusion is banal, but on Naroch everyone can really find something of their own. Yes, there are shortcomings that may not please the metropolitan resident. In the same Myadel, which is located on the shore of Lake Myastro, it is very difficult to find coffee in the morning. A bar in a local hotel and a cafe not far from it open at 12 am. For coffee, you have to go to the nearest gas station. But is this the main thing? There are some really cool tourist attractions here. And if you know where to go, then you can relax in a very romantic place.

The Belarusian Lake Naroch has long attracted people who prefer a relaxing holiday in familiar climatic conditions. No wonder it is one of the three most popular resorts among Russians in the expanses of the former USSR.

In the Naroch river basin in the Myadel region of Belarus there is a lake of the same name - Naroch, which is part of the Naroch lakes group. Lake Naroch is the “pearl” of Belarus, the largest lake in the republic with an area of 80 km2 and a maximum depth of 24.8 m, and along coastline you can take a walk 41 kilometers long. The lake has water reserves of approximately 710 million cubic meters.

Not far from Naroch there is a natural complex "Blue Lakes", the basis of which is the Bolduk group of lakes. Bolduk is one of the largest lakes in this region and the fifth deepest in Belarus. Its name has Baltic roots and translates as "bottomless". In addition to it, the group includes 10 more lakes: Glublya, Glubelka, Dead, Yachmenek, Karasik, Kueli, Bolduchitsa, Imsharets, Ilginiya, Glukhoe. The lakes are surrounded by high hills covered with pine and spruce forests. At the foot of the hills flows the river Stracha - the right tributary of the Viliya, originating from the lake Small Shvakshty. Beavers live in the tributaries and streams that flow into the Stracha - more than 150 of them live in the national park.

Lake Naroch is exceptionally clean, over 19 species of fish live in it, including whitefish, pike, tench, bream and, of course, the famous Naroch eel. The surroundings of the lake are decorated with birds - gulls, ducks, swans. According to the nature of the natural vegetation pine forests, birch groves, twilight spruce forests full of game, berries, mushrooms, as well as especially valuable ones - chaga and burl. In the place where the reservoir flows into the Narochanka River, the coastal area is characterized by a high level of humidity. The shores here are quite low, but marshy, which leads to the formation of small areas of marshes. This habitat is ideal for herons, which can be found in abundance here.

In summer, the water in the lake warms up to 19 degrees, and the swimming season lasts almost a hundred days a year. It is also worth noting that Lake Naroch is the center of the Naroch National Park. In total, there are about 40 lakes in it, Naroch is the largest. In rainy or foggy weather, it is almost impossible to see the opposite shore of the lake, which is why it is also popularly known as the “Belarusian Sea”.

Recreation in the national park is possible only in designated areas. In addition, most of the Blue Lakes is a protected area, and you can only travel along marked ecological routes. For nature lovers, there are 2 tourist camps on the territory of the complex - "Bolduk" and "Melnitsa" and five places for recreation. Fishing is not allowed on all lakes, but Naroch, Bolduk, Glublya and Glukhoe are open for recreational fishing. Various excursion routes have been developed in the National Park, which include the main sights of the Naroch region. Undoubtedly, its main wealth in the lakes is the beautiful lakes Bolshoi Shvakshty, Myadel, Beloe, Rossokh, Lotviny, Volchino, Svir and others in their own way.

Lake Naroch is one of the cleanest and most transparent fresh water bodies located on the territory of Belarus. The sandy bottom in it is clearly visible even at a depth of ten meters.

It is believed that the lake was formed at the time of the retreat of the glacier several thousand years ago. It collided with the Sventsyansky moraine ridge, as a result of which it melted, creating a large body of water, which eventually divided into several smaller bodies of water.

Lake Naroch is shrouded in legends. In the legends that reveal its origin, both love, and deceit, and joy, and sadness appear.

One of the many legends about the origin of Lake Naroch tells of ancient times, when dense forests stood on the site of today's Naroch Lakes, on the edge of which there was a small house in which a forester lived with his beautiful daughter Galina. She had a fiance, whose name was Vasilyok - a brave young man, a jack of all trades. Once Vasilek collected spring grains of sand and made a mirror out of them, which he presented to his beloved. The mirror was not simple: looking deep into it, one could find out one's fate. Once a wealthy gentleman approached Galina, but he was old and unpleasant to the girl - she refused him. In response, the rich man stole the girl. Cornflower rushed after him, saved his beloved, but at the same time killed the master. His servants rushed after the fugitives. Vasilek sent Galina home, and he decided to continue his flight, diverting the attention of his pursuers. But instead of her home, Galina saw the consequences of a terrible fire. The girl's only hope was the return of her lover. Galina dared to look in the mirror, but instead of her reflection, she saw the body of the murdered Vasilko lying on a hill and a black crow circling above him. In horror, she dropped the mirror - it broke, and its fragments turned into Naroch lakes. The girl herself became a seagull, and to this day she circles over water surface, calling his Vasilka.

In the basin of the Naroch River in the Myadel region of Belarus there is a lake of the same name - which is part of the group of Naroch lakes.

This is a tourist area, as well as a resort with good beaches.

It is also worth noting that Lake Naroch is the center of the Naroch National Park. In total, there are about 40 lakes in it, Naroch is the largest. It is also popularly known as "Belarusian Sea".

No wonder, because the area of the water surface of the lake is about 80 square meters. km., which in rainy or foggy weather simply does not make it possible to see the opposite shore of the lake.

At the same time, the depth of the reservoir cannot boast of large values - on average, about 9 meters. Unless in the area of the Gatovskie pits, the depth of the lake is as much as 25 meters - this is the maximum depth.

In total, the lake has water reserves equal to approximately 710 million cubic meters. The catchment area of Naroch is 279 sq. km. Forests grow on a quarter of this area, and lakes occupy only 35%. 17 streams flow into the lake at once. These are Pronki, Kupa, Simony, Antonizberg and so on.

Lake Naroch is connected to Lake Myastro through a short channel of the Skema. The Naroch River also begins here, in the lake of the same name.

Are you interested? It corresponds to 55 kilometers straight and 63 kilometers on the road, driving along which you will spend 50 minutes of personal time.

Lake Naroch is one of the cleanest and most transparent fresh water bodies located on the territory of Belarus. The sandy bottom in it is clearly visible even at a depth of ten meters.

The lake is home to a very large number of fish and other species. The most popular of them are pike, roach, bream, bleak, selyava. Often found freshwater eel. In total, there are more than twenty species.

The fish processing plant located on the shore of the lake is engaged in conservation, smoking and salting of products. To some extent, this helps to develop the region economically.

The southern part of the reservoir has sandy beaches of sufficient width with a rather gentle slope. In other words, this is a very good place to swim.

In view of this, a sanatorium for children called "Zubryonok" was built here. Every year, a large number of young visitors rest in it, who swim in the lake, play outdoor games and enjoy the beauties of the surrounding nature.

But not throughout the entire area Naroch has gentle slopes and sandy beaches.

In the place where the reservoir flows into the Narochanka River, the coastal area is characterized by a high level of humidity. The shores here are quite low, but marshy, which leads to the formation of small areas of marshes. This habitat is ideal for herons, which can be found in abundance here.

V locality, which is adjacent to Lake Naroch, everyone can rent water skis, a boat, a catamaran or even a boat. Bicycles are also rented here - you can go on an independent sightseeing tour at a leisurely pace.

In addition, there is also a collective excursion accompanied by a guide, the cost of which is about one and a half thousand rubles. A taxi runs throughout the city, and there are also a large number of parking lots (paid and free).

It is believed that the lake was formed at the time of the retreat of the glacier several thousand years ago. It collided with the Sventsyansky moraine ridge, as a result of which it melted, creating a large body of water, which eventually divided into several smaller bodies of water.

There is a legend about the origin of the lake associated with tragic love. It tells about ancient times, when dense forests stood on the site of today's Naroch Lakes, on the edge of which there was a small house in which a forester lived with his beautiful daughter Galina.

The girl herself became a seagull, and to this day she circles over the water surface, calling her Cornflower.

To date, a water protection zone has been created around the lake to preserve its natural wealth.

On the territory of this special zone there are strict restrictions on the use of any natural resources.

However, resting on Lake Naroch on your own, you should be very careful. One of the main problems that emerged here more than twenty years ago is the possibility of contracting circariosis after bathing in places not designated for this.

The fact is that the birds and fish of the reservoir can be affected circaria, which in the future are capable of hitting a person. Typical symptoms of infection are itching, redness of the skin, general weakness, skin rash, blisters, high fever. Circaria penetrate the outer skin and lay their larvae there. Subsequently, they die, but the symptoms of irritation remain for some time. Full recovery may take up to ten days.

In fairness, it should be noted that the problem is relevant not only for Lake Naroch, it manifests itself in more than five hundred reservoirs throughout Belarus.

To minimize the likelihood of infection, it is strongly recommended to swim only in those places that are specially equipped for this. In extreme cases, you can resort to the usual consultation with local residents.

It is also important to take a shower after each visit to the reservoir. Compliance with these measures can be regarded as a vital necessity that will provide you with a comfortable pastime and save you from possible problems.
